I like the curvy clouds and straight contrail. :-)

Contrail / Chemtrail (artificial) Weather.

This one caught my eye because of the two jet contrails in the sky.

Taken on 23rd December 2007 - clear day after damp weather, the contrails showed up well

This was a very funny day with the sky being absolutely full on contrails. There must have been very little wind at the upper levels.

a couple of contrails over NYC, saturday afternoon

A Boeing B-747-8I streaks by high above me. I wish I'd had a longer lens!

Today, I saw the contrail reflected building.

note the contrail kiss and the lonely planet

Contrails from a passing jet light up in the fading sunlight.

While the surface winds were blowing at about 13mph the upper level winds were quite calm. The contrail was still visible over an hour later. Download the larger size as wallpaper www.flickr.com/photos/jrnoded/4608401165/sizes/l/

Airplane Contrails album shows airplane contrails, or chemtrails spreading out and create awesome patterns in the sky.

Kondenzstreifen vs. Abendrot

Contrails across what was a deep blue sky. Converted to black and white, with an added "red filter" turns the sky black. Peope heading off on holiday or business- Having spent many years travelling 10000s miles each year, I'm not in the least bit envious!

Sometimes stuff happens that I just can't explain. Here's one of those times. This is the remnant of the 747 Contrail not more than a minute after that picture was taken. It had contorted into this twisted shape, which was fairly interesting, so I took a single picture of it. But then, upon getting it into the computer and processing the daylights out of it, it became obvious to me that this was much more interesting than just its shape. The two tendrils appear to me to be tubular, hollow inside, with lots of knots and smoke rings and discontinuities and interesting little features that are only visible if you look at it at full resolution. Have a look and see what I'm talking about. Can I explain it? Nope. I can't even think of something plausible to make up about it. It's just plain unexpected and strange to me, that a contrail could do that.

I've uploaded the full-size picture so you can look at it full resolution. Just click on "All Sizes" above the image, or click here. Let me know what you think!
