The setting winter sun created shadows from the contrail up along the clouds that a jet flew under.

I know a lot of people don't like contrails but they are sadly a fact of life in the 21st century. Thought these contrails looked quite interesting in the sky all converging together!

The contrails and the clouds took on this lovely glow while the sun was setting.

I usually try to avoid contrails, but there were a lot in the sky from flights heading in/out of Chicago on this afternoon, and I thought they added some interest to the scene.
