The Computer Training Unit has four computer labs and offers courses from basic word processing to advanced programming.

How might we "fix" the problems in our higher education system? Should we forgive student debt? Do we make college free? What about vocational schools? How do we prepare future generations for future workforce challenges? These and other questions were discussed at this event, hosted by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, in partnership with Penn State Abington.

In June 2012, we gathered the alumni of our Public Relations Certificate for a networking event.

 

Maps and treasures were created in Treasures of the Sea.

Ken Yan, a freelance photographer and photography student at The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education at Ryerson University, decided to enroll in continuing education classes to change career directions after a few years in other fields.

 

Yan is currently completing a certificate in photography from The Chang School. After changing his career several times (from computer science to radio broadcasting to human resources), he decided to re-visit the passion for photography he had in high school and try to turn it into a career.

This was my first course in ceramics. As an Afghan Hound artist, I decided to do a figurative head study. Our instructor, Lynne Lofton was incredible. Wonderful class and experience. I hope to continue.

The idea behind this piece was to focus on an area of an image that displays great emotion and convey it through the use of line. In this piece I chose to focus on madness, utilizing different lines and textures to create the image.

The assignment was to create an expressive, abstract drawing using shape and line from an existing painting. My inspiration was a still life painting of flowers in a vase with curtains.

The first edition of the Barcelona GSE Intensive Course on Systemic Risk and Prudential Policy was held from May 16-19, 2012.

Exploring street photography at the Cleveland Flea.

The 23rd Annual Estate & Charitable Gift Planning Institute live webcast was held in 28 states and 200 cities across the US, including 11 Indiana locations. The Salvation Army hosted the event, helping more than 440 Hoosier professionals earn continuing education credits in their fields.

We celebrated the graduation of 169 writing and communications program graduates on January 20, 2014.
