On behalf of the ECU Gourmet Group, Treasurer Don Mott (second from left) and Group Coordinator Tony Yamada (third from left) presented a $500-check to Pitt Community College in support of the Basic Food Service Management Program the school offers within its Continuing Education Division. Accepting on behalf of PCC are Dr. David Lusk, Continuing Education Dean, and Ashley Sierant, Occupational Extension Programs Coordinator.
According to Sierant, the donation will be used to purchase books and other supplies for this relatively new program.
Comprised of current and former ECU staff and faculty, the ECU Gourmet Group was organized more than 40 years ago. The group prepares gourmet dinners several times a year with different dinner themes.
