Well, I finally decided that I would register for the Fall Quarter of Learning in Retirement at Valdosta State University. I didn't want to sign up for too many classes; so, I signed up for one section of water aerobics, 1 section of swim lessons, and to go on field trips to a tilapia farm, an herb farm, to Reed Bingham State Park, to Grand Bay, to Dasher Museum, and for the Kick-Off Luncheon. BTW: VSU has the only indoor swimming pool in this area; so, if I wish to continue with water aerobics LIR is my best choice. And.....I hope to be able to get some good photos when I go on the field trips.
Then I went by the post office and picked up some flat rate boxes, customs forms, and labels (for free) and will use these to send packages to Mike overseas--from our Sunday School class.
Later this afternoon, I'll go to my water aerobics class at the VCC swimming pool.
BTW: It was so hot today. Just standing outside taking a few pics caused sweat to roll down my face and back.

The Computer Training Unit has four computer labs and offers courses from basic word processing to advanced programming.
How might we "fix" the problems in our higher education system? Should we forgive student debt? Do we make college free? What about vocational schools? How do we prepare future generations for future workforce challenges? These and other questions were discussed at this event, hosted by the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, in partnership with Penn State Abington.
