Thanks for your continued prayers for Kraig. Please pray for the family...right now..we really need strength. God bless. Much love...
When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary;
When troubles come and my heart burdened be;
Then, I am still and wait here in the silence,
Until you come and sit awhile with meYou raise me up, so I can stand on mountains;
You raise me up, to walk on stormy seas;
I am strong, when I am on your shoulders;
You raise me up... To more than I can be.

Continue to do the overlayering artwork creation, and this bunch concept is focus at the " missing emotion" .
Through the combination & overlayering among the dove, the tree and the water , I aim to create a emotional mood of missing someone it love.
Continuing the northbound chase here was the fifth spot I photographed this Mass Bay special.
Granite State Scenic Railway SW1000 105 leads the special past Blair Bridge as they cross Blair Rd. at MP 4.2. The 292 ft long twin span covered bridge was built in 1869 replacing an earlier structure dating from 1829 that was destroyed by an arsonist. To read a bit of over dramatized history of this covered bridge check out this link: www.onlyinyourstate.com/new-hampshire/haunted-bridge-shiv...
I made this image from inside the bridge two years ago as seen here: flic.kr/p/2nqdTxo and really wanted to try from the outside this time. But without a drone this is the best I could find and it's not that great. With less poles, less wires, less signs, less trees and if that truck hadn't pulled up so close this might have been sort of tolerable!
To read the full story of this day and some history of the line and details about the equipment check out the caption with the earlier photo at Plymouth station.

A view across part of Attenborough nature reserve with Ratcliffe on Soar Power Station on the horizon, 8th March 2024.
In 1929 large-scale commercial gravel extraction began around Attenborough and would continue for the next ninety years. The extraction formed deep lagoons and as the extraction moved away from the works the gravel was transported by barge through the ever-expanding network of lagoons. In 1965, an application from the Central Electricity Generating Board (CEGB) looked to fill the lagoons with ash from Ratcliffe-on-Soar power station. However, by this time, the pits were already well-known for their wildlife interest and extensively used by local fishermen and birdwatchers, with records starting around 1948. Due to the strength of local feeling the CEGB withdrew their application and the ash was taken to Fletton, Peterborough. Discussions then began with the site’s then owners, Trent Gravels Ltd, about the future for the lagoons and it was agreed to develop the site as a nature reserve in parallel with continued gravel extraction. The opening ceremony as a nature reserve was in 1966 and was performed by David Attenborough. Gravel extraction has now finished, and the works have been demolished, whilst the nature reserve now welcomes around 500,000 visitors per year and is regarded as one of the best sites in the UK to see kingfishers.
Ratcliffe on Soar 2116MW power station was built in the mid-1960s and opened in 1968 and is one of the biggest coal fired power stations built in the country. In 1981, the station was burning 5.5 million tonnes of coal a year, consuming 65% of the output of the south Nottinghamshire coalfield. Emissions of sulphur dioxide, which caused acid rain, were greatly reduced in 1993 when a flue gas desulphurisation system using a wet limestone-gypsum process became operational on the four boilers. Emissions of nitrogen oxides which also cause damage to the ozone layer, were reduced in 2004 when Ratcliffe became the first in the United Kingdom to be fitted with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. One of the last coal fired power stations still in use it is due to close in 2025.

A citrine wagtail with its long legs looking for food in the grass stopped to look at me and then continued its business.
HDR rework of an old shot of mine. Probably the best mushroom refraction I've gotten. Still digging in my archives, as you can see.
The dew drop acts as a wide-angle lens, and because there is only one lens it inverts the light passing through it, which turns the scene upside down and reversed. Think of all the light as converging and crossing over inside the dew drop. It is not a REFLECTION. It is a REFRACTION. Reflection is when light bounces back. Refraction is when it passes through and is altered. Clearly the light here is passing through as the mushroom is behind the drop.
Check out our refraction group for lots of discussion on this topic, how-tos, examples, etc.
Continuing bird at the MLK Promenade in San Diego. Palm Warbler used to be a big nemesis bird for me, taking me a ridiculous 14 tries to get! Luckily this one was quite easy, probably due to the fact that it seems to inhabit a 20 sq ft area. Unfortunately this picture isn't that sharp... my lens seems to be doing that lately. Might need to send it in to get cleaned up.
Citybus continue to pour new buses onto Plymouth's street and the latest are the Green Flash E400s with the 'older' type being the preferred option over MMC spec.
Makes sense from maintenance and operations point of view, looks great in the livery and sound good too!
The light was much worse than it looks in this shot, the fact I was using 5000 iso to get a sharp-ish shot on the move says it all!
Continued to explore and came to Olympic Park。When i saw this, I was skeptical was it a Buddha? Probably not。
The museum continues to work for the global movement of nuclear disarmament and a lasting world peace. The museum is divided into the East Building and the Main Building. In the museum, the history of Hiroshima before and after the bombing is exhibited with pictures, movies and displays. Also, there are some items that convey the devastation caused by the atomic bomb.
These 4 images are from paintings displayed in the museum from people who survived the attack and the scenes that were witnessed. It is recorded that when it rained the survivors drank it because they had no other water. They did not realise at the time that the "Black Rain" was radioactive.
Continuing with my recent theme of asking great strangers even if the other aspects are not perfect, I saw Aysan relaxing at a coffee shop near Brick Lane and approached her for a portrait. She instantly agreed and it was great to take a few shots of her where she was.
We both talked about how we loved the multicultural vibe of London. Given that she is of Turkish heritage and I am Indian we talked about the variety of food and mentioned that if it wasn't for all the food brought in from other countries we would only have Fish and Chips - I quite like a bit of Fish and Chips myself :-)
Thanks Aysan for you time. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at the

Another of the magnificent dead trees on the slopes of mount Hautua, plus a magnificent view to the mountains and fjord. I don't often do a frame like this, but I couldn't resist.
Continuing to build out the airport in 1/100 scale with airliners I've flown on most frequently, starting with the ubiquitous Canadair CRJ200. Not my favorite plane to fly on, but a staple of the US short-haul fleet since the retirement of the DC-9 and found at nearly every passenger airport in the country at some point over the last 2 decades.
Continuing my story from yesterday... The Mallard brood on the log was growing restless and one chick decided that it needed to climb up a bit higher and be closer to mom, who was still sleeping. This chick stood up and flapped it's little arms a bit, then settled down to keep watch.

Continuing bird found by Tito Gonzalez along Corte Del Abeto in Carlsbad, CA. This was an overdue county bird, though I had never chased one so it wasn't a nemesis or anything. Got to spend about 30 minutes observing it which was pretty nice since it's a species I haven't seen all too often.
De Bijenkorf (literally, "the beehive"[1]) is a chain of high-end department stores in the Netherlands It was founded by Simon Philip Goudsmit (1845–1889).starting as a small haberdashery shop at 132 Nieuwendijk, one of Amsterdam's oldest streets. Initially limited to yarn and ribbons and employing a staff of four, the stock expanded gradually. After the death of Goudsmit in 1889, Goudsmit's widow expanded the business with the help of a cousin, Arthur Isaac, and her son Alfred, eventually purchasing adjacent buildings. In 1909, these connecting shops were replaced by a new building.
The above image was taken on Saturday 9th May 2015 of Chester Cathedral. I thought I would continue to test out the new features of Lightroom 6/CC and this image makes use of the new HDR / Panorama features. To help with capturing this image I used a Nodal Ninja 3 MKII tripod accessory to ensure that the different images captured for the panorama shot lined up.
Continuing my tour of Bergen! Missing something in this shot? No raindrops!!! It had actually stopped raining for a couple of minutes :-). It soon started up again.....
In the studio at Churchill School in Baker City with Punk Rock Doll Lauren Napier, and Vic Ruggiero getting ready for the Churchill in Your House Party live stream.
Since local artists, event organizers, and preservationists Brian and Corrine Vegter purchased the historic Churchill elementary school building, this former school building has enjoyed a new lease on life through creative and adaptive reuse as an arts incubator, bike/ski hostel, community event center, concert venue and performance space.
Churchill school includes a sound studio, a working woodshop, metal fabrication studio gallery space and multiple artist studio spaces and the cafeteria has become a new music venue regularly hosting musical artists from throughout the PNW. While the COVID pandemic has had a crippling effect on the music scene. Churchill School has continued to provide artists with recording space and hosted a variety of live stream concert performances.

Continuing my Southern Arizona Adventure 2024 with a stop in Tubac, AZ. This is stage 3 of 9. This is a place I plan on revisiting.
I toured the Presidio of Tubac and the Museum. As I turned a corner in the Museum, I was pleasantly surprised to see this Tallit (Jewish Prayer Shawl). This is a very nice and ornate example. Jews played important roles in the development of the State of Arizona.
ChatGPT says:
Tubac, Arizona, is a charming town rich in history and culture. Founded in the 18th century, it began as a Spanish presidio and later became a hub for artists and artisans. Today, Tubac is known for its vibrant arts scene, featuring galleries, studios, and shops showcasing local artwork and crafts.
The Tubac Presidio State Historic Park offers a glimpse into the area's past, with preserved ruins and exhibits that highlight its significance in Arizona's history. Haiku thoughts:
Old adobe walls stand,
Artists' dreams in sunlight bloom,
Tubac's heart beats on.

Continuing my look back at some Alder Valley bus depot visits from the 1980s and early 1990s.
Here we see the Newbury depot in November 1987.
Although what is known about what’s happening in Syria is War and destruction, but we still protest and demand what we asked for since day one. We still stand up and speak every time we get a chance. Our most important need is still freedom from the Assad regime and its Russian & Iranian allies. We still shout our lungs out and sing for all the people that sacrificed their lives to reach our dreams since 2011. We continue and will continue protesting until we achieve what we ask for, we won’t forgot what made us start our revolution.
Any day is a great day to be outside enjoying the sunshine and having a nice walk at the same time . 2019 will be a new year spent exploring new trails and taking I have no doubt lots of photos along the way, enjoy your time behind the lens
Continuing the series of neo 90s space factions.
The Spyrius robot has no modifications because to me it's one of the absolute best minifigs Lego ever produced (my other favourites - Merlin/Majisto, Wolfpack, the original 80s Peasant, the original 80s Blacksmith, Red and White Classic Space, and Ice Planet 2002 figures).
