GlobeCore UMB-20 bitumen modification plant is designed for modification of bitumen by adding polymers, adhesion components, plasticity additives into viscous road bitumen. Modified bitumen is used in production of asphalt/concrete top layer, cement protection layers and crack sealants.
The use of modified bitumen in asphalt mixes, as compared to regular bitumen, allows expanding of the seasonal temperature range of asphalt top layer; ensures good endurance of asphalt under the stress of vehicle movement (i.e. formation of cracks and grooves) and generally increases road life time.
Design options:
- Chassis-mounted;
- Frame-mounted;
- Containerized.
The system allows implementation of virtually any bitumen modification process with various polymer modifiers.

Grader is first driven close to the container. Front tires are removed and grader driven in upto the rear tires.
Then grader is lifted up again and back tires are removed so that it can be pushed in all the way.

Audacia is Allseas’ [a Swiss-based offshore contractor specializing in pipelay, heavy lift and subsea construction] versatile pipelay vessel, optimized for the execution of small- to large-diameter pipeline projects of any length in all water depths, and for associated work such as the installation of risers and subsea protection frames. The concept for Audacia was developed entirely in-house and she has been operational since 2007. A length of 225 m places her between Allseas’ dynamically positioned pipelay vessels Solitaire and Lorelay. Precise maneuvering on full dynamic positioning with a stinger positioned on the bow allow Audacia to work safely in congested areas and lay pipes in very deep water. Pipeline start-ups and lay-downs are executed in very quick time ensuring any disruption to other activities near platforms is minimized. Due to her long length and ship-shape Audacia can accommodate multiple workstations and has a greater pipe hold capacity. Her independence from anchor handlers and large buffer capacity also ensure she is less dependent on pipe off-loading from supply vessels. A high transit speed, high lay speed and large carrying capacity ensure Audacia is highly competitive for pipelay projects anywhere in the world / Port of Ravenna is an Italian seaport on the North Adriatic Sea in Ravenna, Italy. It is one of the top twenty Italian ports and top forty European ports. The port of Ravenna is the main port of Emilia-Romagna. The docks are mainly on a canal that connects the town centre of Ravenna (which is inland) to the sea which is 12 km away. The offshore breakwaters are in the little towns of Porto Corsini and Marina di Ravenna. It hosts shipyards, multipurpose terminals, bulk cargo terminals and a containerized cargo terminal. There are also a big passenger and cruise lines terminal and the biggest marinas of the Adriatic Sea.

This heavy equipment has been containerized by Big Iron's own resources. This was a "live load" as the truck waited for us to finish loading the container.
The tracks have been left intact in this dozer and we have selected to use a different containerization method. We have the know-how and experise to containerize heavy equipment and use different methods and come up with solutions to various different scenarious.

The vessel calls on Portsmouth, Antwerp (BNFW Terminal), Hamburg (HHLA Frucht und Kuehlzentrum GmbH), Turbo, Santa Marta, and back to Portsmouth.
It visits Antwerp on a fresh (11°C) and rainy day.

Our innovation, FOCUSUN 20ft and 40ft solar container cold room is a “plug and play” modular, solar-powered walk-in cold room, for 24/7 off-grid storage and preservation of perishable foods. It adequately addresses the problem of post- harvest losses in fruits, vegetables and other perishable food.

American internationalism was born at sea. America has long been a maritime power and, since the end of World War II, the U.S. Navy has been the world’s dominant power on the high seas. American firms led the innovations of containerization that now dominate global trade, and U.S. institutions are the world leaders in the oceanographic sciences. Dominance of the high seas is a vital part of American grand strategy, and the stakes here are high: Most world trade moves by sea, as does about two-thirds of the world’s supply of oil and gas, and more than 90% of all data, via undersea cables. And oceanographic sciences form a vital plank in our understanding of climate change.
In each of these domains, the United States works closely with naval, industry, and science partners, especially in Europe and Asia. And for the past several decades, this has included China — now the largest shipbuilding nation in the world — a country whose ports dominate global trade flows and who is an increasingly important source of oceanographic sciences. But the context is rapidly changing — from the Black Sea to the Baltic and Barents Seas to the Western Pacific. New pressures on globalization and new sources of geopolitical tension pose potential challenges to sea-based cooperation and commerce alike.
On June 7, Brookings hosted a public event featuring the 32nd Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Michael Gilday, President of CMA CGM America and American President Lines Peter Levesque, and Director of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography Margaret Leinen for a discussion about what is at stake at sea, and where America’s maritime interests lie today.
