As always, any kind of constructive criticism is highly appreciated.

The second stranger the the day that wasn't alone, and the first one in a while I quite literally ran after. What initially caught my eye was her red hair - guess color is not always overrated. Let's see how long I like sticking to B&W...

I thought the fence would make a nice backdrop - now I think that the lines run into the wrong direction. Maybe she should have been in the right end of the picture...

The glasses were a bit 'intimidating' and ended my exploration of flash photography for the day. I guess I should have tried, but there was no real necessity for flash, and I didn't want to blow another shot. (I currently trigger my flash as optical slave via the pop-up, so I would've had to change the composition quite a bit to avoid reflections...)

This picture is #93 in my 100 strangers project.

Synopsis

George Brant Bridgman (1865-1943) was a Canadian-American painter, writer, and teacher in the fields of anatomy and figure drawing. Bridgman taught anatomy for artists at the Art Students League of New York for some 45 years.Constructive Anatomy: Illustrated by George B. Bridgman. Excellent book of anatomical drawing instruction. Ideal for beginning to intermediate artists, begins with instruction on drawing hands and works its way through the human body giving detailed instruction on how to draw realistic human figures. The drawings that are presented here show the conceptions that have proved simplest and most effective in constructing the human figure. The eye in drawing must follow a line or a plane or a mass. In the process of drawing, this may become a moving line, or a moving plane, or a moving mass. The line, in actual construction, must come first; but as menta

Constructive criticism on all aspects of this portrait very welcome. You can also tell me what else you would have done with the processing of this portrait. How different would you have done it? Would you have cropped it differently? I wanted to keep her hand in so the length is rather long. Also she was standing in the doorway and I had to remove the left part because it was just a white strip from the door. Looking forward to your suggestions and comments.

I had said that my photostream lacked portraits of humans so I went out with the sole purpose of finding people to photograph. This time I went to the old town of Vittoriosa and walked the narrow roads to the town square. Along the way I met different people whom I asked if I could photograph them. The locals were so friendly and stopped with their buisness to pose for me and encourage me. Not only did they pose themselves but some even called out their neighbours to come out and pose. This sweet old lady was in her doorway watching people go past. Before I left she blessed me and wished me luck with my photography.

Constructive criticisms are always welcome. Thank you.

Richmond Photography Collective - Court End

By Alex Greene in wood and threaded rod, at Sculpture by the Sea, Sydney 2009.

Taken in Paleohora, Crete, Greece in October 2004. This was on the outskirts of a nudish beach, next to a family resort. I thought it was funny and slightly ironic that they had this sign. I wondered if they intentionally were saying one or two statements.

Constructive criticism and/or tips (equipment use, post-processing, creativity, etc) for capturing a better photo would be extremely helpful and appreciated...

More nonsense on offer at www.mightypossibility.com

A particularly high tide and a strong swell from the east gave the Kirkcaldy sea wall a terrific battering today causing a certain amount of damage but without an on-shore wind, flooding was limited to the promenade and part of the carparks.

The waves were hitting the wall square on, sending up a wall of water. The rebounding wave then met the next incoming wave and often exploded vertically in another wall of spray.

All that against a backdrop of the setting sun.

Constructive criticism is most welcome.

Well, nothing special in here, thou I don't wanna sound like someone in my position would, so listen carefully...

Those 30sec exposure shots were made on a tripod, on midnight, at shores of the Dead Sea, Israel, while I was calibrating my camera for further long-exposure night shots. These orbs revealed on my Nikon's 3" preview monitor, and I didnt see them in real time - with my own eyes. Then, I took another few shots hoping to get rid of those "disturbing artifacts", though surprisingly they appeared in different locations and apparently were moving too. Additional shots caught them all in different locations, moving etc. Hence, without further ado, I took my stuff and went back to the hotel.
