Pateira de Fermentelos es uno de los lugares de ensueño en Portugal, está considerada la laguna natural más grande de la Península Ibérica alimentada por las aguas del río Cértima.
Pateira se encuentra en el pequeño pueblo de Fermentelos, perteneciente al municipio de Águeda.
Es una zona muy rica en fauna, flora y especies acuáticas y sirve de refugio para patos y otras aves migratorias, lo que lo convierte en un oasis de biodiversidad.
Lo que hace a Pateira increíblemente bella son los jacintos de agua que la rodean. Sin embargo, debido a su naturaleza invasiva, el ayuntamiento de Águeda realmente necesita encargarse de eliminarlos parcialmente de vez en cuando.
Una perla encantada, aún desconocida por muchos.
El Castillo del Rey cierra la muralla de la villa. Se considera que el primer castillo en este lugar debió edificarse durante la repoblación de Alfonso I de Asturias en la Alta Edad Media. No obstante, sus muros actuales son posteriores, del siglo XIII en adelante. Formó parte del sistema defensivo de la villa de San Vicente, junto con las murallas. Fue restaurado en los años 1990. Actualmente se usa como museo y para exposiciones.
Se alza sobre una elevación rocosa, adaptándose su planta a las irregularidades del terreno. La forma general del castillo es alargada, de más de cincuenta metros de largo por unos veinte de ancho. La fábrica es de mampostería, con sillería en las esquinas y los vanos. Tiene dos torres: una de planta cuadrada al este y otra con forma de pentágono al oeste. Las une un cuerpo central, que en el pasado estuvo abovedado.

Considerada una de las joyas renacentistas más valiosas de Andalucía
Los Reyes Católicos ordenaron erigir un templo cristiano a los pocos días de conquistar la ciudad en 1487.
La catedral, es una síntesis de estilos arquitectónicos entre los que prevalece el Renacimiento sobre el primer Gótico de la antigua fábrica y los elementos barrocos añadidos desde principios del siglo XVIII.
Hasta el año 2012, fue el segundo edificio más alto de Andalucía, solo superado en su torre por la Giralda. La altura de sus bóvedas a nivel español solo es superada por la Catedral de Palma, siendo el templo catedralicio de Málaga, uno de los quince templos europeos con mayor altura en sus naves.
Para sufragar los enormes gastos de la obra, la Corona impuso un arbitrio o impuesto a los barcos que recalaban en Málaga. De esta manera, a lo largo de todo el siglo XVIII, los trabajos avanzaron con rapidez. A fines de la centuria se acabaron los dineros para terminar la obra. ¿Qué pasó? los dineros recabados los destinó el rey Carlos III para que se enviaran como ayuda a los estadounidenses que se habían alzado contra Inglaterra para conseguir su independencia.
Hoy en día, una lápida bilingüe conmemora este hecho, que promovió en el pasado el hermanamiento de la ciudad de Mobile con Málaga. Esa ciudad americana se ofreció, incluso, a hacer una cuestación para conseguir la terminación de la Catedral en señal de agradecimiento.
El mercado central de Valencia está considerado como una de las obras maestras del modernismo valenciano. Este espectacular bazar, cuenta con 1200 puestos en los que se vende todo tipo de alimentos como pescado, mariscos, frutas, especias, carnes y embutidos entre otros, tanto para consumo doméstico como para abastecer a importantes restaurantes de Valencia, con lo que se corona como el mercado de productos frescos más grande de Europa. La compra en este lugar está cargada de gran encanto por la belleza de su arquitectura y la tradición e historia del mercado. El Mercado Central combina el metal, las cúpulas, el vidrio, las columnas, al recuerdo gótico del modernismo, como si de una catedral del comercio se tratara, combinando con la vecina Lonja de la Seda. En el centro del edificio se aprecia una gran cúpula coronada por una veleta.

I consider myself pretty fortunate that Fantasy Gacha Carnival and Enchantment were quite close to one another. It's giving me all this room to come up with ideas. While FGC is centred around cyberpunk, futuristic and post-apocalyptic themes, the Curemore set there did stick out with me, and ties in well with the common apple motif of Snow White.
I'm still sort of a villain, right? I'd wager you didn't come here for philosophy, though.

Considero impía y detestable la máxima de que en materia de gobierno la mayoría de un pueblo tenga derecho a hacerlo todo, y sin embargo sitúo en la voluntad de la mayoría el origen de todos los poderes. ¿Estoy en contradicción conmigo mismo?
Existe una ley general hecha, o cuando menos adoptada, no sólo por la mayoría de tal o cual pueblo, sino por la mayoría de los hombres, Esta ley es la justicia.
La injusticia constituye, pues el límite del derecho de todo pueblo.
Una nación es como un jurado encargado de representar a la sociedad universal y de aplicar la justicia, que es su ley. El jurado, que representa a la sociedad, ¿debe tener más poder que la sociedad misma cuyas leyes aplica?
Así pues, cuando yo rehúso obedecer a una ley injusta no niego a la mayoría el derecho de mandar; no hago sino apelar contra la soberanía del pueblo ante la soberanía del género humano.

I consider myself a winter person - meaning that I do enjoy it. However, I love the vibrancy of Fall too and I have to admit I'm having trouble letting go as we look to a forecast of snow this weekend. Consequently, although the colorful leaves are gone now, I'm still going to post a few. I liked this scene with the three trees on the left - even though a light wind kept brushing against the green leaves at the bottom and created some movement.
There was no breeze higher up in the branches, which made me wonder if the fast water flow created some friction on the air above it, which in turn created the slight breeze affecting the lower branches. Can anyone shed some light on this? Google only looks at the opposite - wind moving water. Many thanks!

La Catedral de Granada está considerada como la primera iglesia renacentista de España y como uno de los mayores exponentes de este orden artístico.
Isabel la Católica ordena la construcción de la Catedral de Granada en 1505, poco después de la Toma de la ciudad, y elige para su ubicación el lugar donde se encontraba la Mezquita Mayor de Granada.
Aquí se habían iniciado ya las obras de la Capilla Real, que contendría en un futuro sus mausoleos.
Carlos V, siempre respetuoso con la memoria de sus augustos abuelos, quería que los planos se realizaran tal como había sido el deseo de los Reyes Católicos.
La Catedral de Granada o Catedral de la Encarnación muestra impresionantes fachadas y un magnifico interior con un grandioso retablo.
Desde su nave central se puede contemplar la grandiosidad de su Capilla Mayor, verdadera joya del Renacimiento español.
La primera piedra de la Catedral se colocó en 1523, el día de la Encarnación.
Su primer arquitecto fue Enrique Egas, maestro de la vieja escuela del gótico florido. Su labor, que duró cinco años, quedó circunscrita a la cimentación.
Fue sustituido por Diego de Siloé, otro artista español formado en Italia, cuya primera determinación fue la de cambiar el estilo gótico de la Catedral por el renacentista.
Y aquí reside la gran habilidad de Siloé: levantar una catedral renacentista sobre un trazado y una cimentación gótica.....
Está considerado como el mayor estanque construido en la Edad del Hierro, que existe en Europa. Permitía acumular más de 300.000 litros de agua y que era utilizado por la población que habitó en el cerro de Laguardia actual, en la época celtibérica (siglo III-II a.de C.) y que siguió utilizándose en épocas posteriores (en la romanización y en época medieval).
Este lugar es escenario de algunas acciones narradas en las novelas de Eva Sáenz de Urturi (sobre Vitoria-Gasteiz y Álava), tituladas : "El silencio de la ciudad blanca" y "Los ritos del agua".
Laguardia es un municipio de Álava (Euskadi-Pais Vasco-Basque Country).

We have now embraced another journey with "Sage" she was abused and neglected and she has been embraced by our family and our other four legged rescues...
There are so many Dogs/Cats etc out there that need good loving homes. Since I started this journey of rescuing animals many years ago, I have never EVER had one regret... Except the goodbyes are so damn hard as they are your family. !

I consider street photo one of the most difficult styles of photography as your subject is constantly changing. You are not capturing a bridge or a river or a colorful fall forest. You are capturing moments from the city, an urban scenery, you are capturing expressions of random people while they are not posing for you, people doing their every day thing. So quite often I am trying to focus on something static on the street, something that caught my eye and then wait until the "right people" get into my frame. I think I got lucky on this one, as it felt like these 2 guys were just leaving the area after not finding what they were looking for (404 error, web administrators may get the joke). Picture taken at Little Five points, in Atlanta, GA.

Κατα τη γνωμη μου η φωτογραφια δρομου ειναι ισως το πιο δυσκολο ειδος φωτογραφίας καθως το θεμα σου αλλαζει συνεχως. Δεν φωτογραφιζεις μια γεφυρα, ενα ποταμι η ενα πολυχρωμο δασος το φθινοπωρο. Στη φωτογραφια δρομου το θεμα ειναι οι στιγμες σε μια πολη, ενα αστικο σκηνικο, οι εκφρασεις τυχαιων ανθρωπων που ομως δεν ποζαρουν για σενα, τυχαιοι ανθρωποι που κανουν καποιες κινησεις ρουτινας. Ετσι συχνα προσπαθω να εστιασω σε κατι στατικο, σε κατι που τραβηξε την προσοχη μου και επειτα να περιμενω μεχρι οι "σωστοι ανθρωποι" να μπουν στο καδρο μου. Νομιζω σταθηκα αρκετα τυχερος εδω αφου οι 2 αυτοι τυποι εμοιαζαν να απομακρυνονται απο την περιοχη αφου δεν βρηκαν αυτο που εψαχναν (σφαλμα 404, οι web admins μαλλον θα πιασουν το αστειο). Η φωτογραφια τραβηχτηκε στην περιοχη Little Five points στην Atlanta της πολιτειας της Georgia.
