The McKenzie substation, when it was still configured to serve 2400V delta to a small town across the highway (note that the load was then too small to merit the need for a set of voltage regulators!)

A few years after this picture, the substation was rebuilt to 12.5kV (and the outgoing circuit was relocated beneath the nearby interstate highway).

Above is a CGI rendering based on the long range Sd.Kfz.251/3 Ausf. D, photographed top right. This Funkpanzerwagen identified by Hans Weber as organic to 2./SS-Pz.Nachr.Abt.1. was assigned to Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Ardennes Offensive, in December 1944. The photo was taken in La Gleize after KG Peiper was destroyed. The vehicle mounts a telescopic mast, aka KM9 Kurbelmast, normally associated with the Fu 11 SE 100 used in a Divisionsfunkstelle (radio vehicle used for divisional liaison). Sd.Kfz.251/3 with Fu 11 have been however correlated with use of the KM9 Kurbelmast plus a Rahmenantenna (frame antenna). The vehicle illustrated however uses a KM9 without Rahmenantenne, but has an internally mounted Sternantennefuss (mount for star antenna type d) associated with both Fu 4 and Fu 8 radios. Based on other egs, this vehicle probably also had a 1.4 metre Stabantenne on a late-style externally mounted Stabantennefuss on the upper left hull side, usually used with the common Fu.Spr.Ger.F radio.

The photo below left shows a somewhat similarly configured Sd.Kfz.251/3 of Panzer Brigade.106. pictured north of Remagen, in March 1945. It has a KM9 Kurbelmast on the left rear, but this Funkpanzerwagen instead has an antenna mounted externally on the right rear, without the usual box armour.

After configuring the FCPAe (Fusion Core Particle Accelerator engine) to float mode, Dirk decided to do a system check on the main vacuum channel of the GWETs (Gravitational Wave Emitting Tubes) before heading back to the Exoplanet surface... He found a minor breach that most likely occurred from the dinosaur incident.

Luckily for Dirk and Benny, their spaceship was monitoring their vitals and kept them alert of their surroundings in time to avoid mastication and deglutition by the true owner of the red transportation device they had stumbled across. The ship had swooped in when the dinosaur attacked resulting in claw marks, tooth puncture holes, and this apparent leak.

The 914/6 GT was a race configured version of the 914/6. The factory offered the GT option, which was distinguishable by its box-like steel fender flares. It quickly became known as the 914/6 GT and was raced employing different engine configurations. This included the 'T' specification, which was a basic 911 engine. Another popular configuration was to use a converted Carrera 6 engine.

The James Webb Space Telescope, configured for flight, was moved from the cleanroom to the payload preparation facility for fuelling at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana on 11–12 November 2021.

Webb will be loaded with propellants before being mounted on top of the rocket and then encapsulated by the Ariane 5 fairing.

Webb will be the largest, most powerful telescope ever launched into space. As part of an international collaboration agreement, ESA is providing the telescope’s launch service using the Ariane 5 launch vehicle. Working with partners, ESA was responsible for the development and qualification of Ariane 5 adaptations for the Webb mission and for the procurement of the launch service by Arianespace.

Webb is an international partnership between NASA, ESA and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA).

The underrated and lesser known of the Persian Gulf carriers, Oman Air has firmly established itself at London Heathrow with their twice daily flights previously operated by Airbus A330s... The carrier has certainly expanded since the S16 schedule when the carrier added its second frequency since arriving into London Heathrow in 2009 with a single daily flight.

The biggest change arrived on 1st July 2018 when Oman Air scheduled both WY101/102 and WY103/104 to be operated by Boeing 787-9s instead of the mixture of Airbus A330-200/300s.

The transfer of flights from Airbus A330s to Boeing 787s came after Oman Air received their first Boeing 787-9 installed in a 3-class layout which included First Class. For the most part, 2-class configured Boeing 787-9s operated on WY103/104 whilst the solitary 3-class configured Boeing 787-9 operated on WY101/102.

Since the delivery of the second 3-class configured Boeing 787-9, both flights from Muscat into London Heathrow often utilise both 3-class configured Boeing 787-9s, however WY101/102 has more often than not seen 2-class Boeing 787-9s being substituted.

Currently, Oman Air operates 9 Boeing 787s, which includes 2 Boeing 787-8s and 7 Boeing 787-9s. Oman Air have 3 more Boeing 787-9s on-order.

Sierra Golf is one of 7 Boeing 787-9s in service with Oman Air, delivered new to the flag-carrier on lease from AerCap on 30th October 2018 and she is powered by 2 General Electric GEnx-1B engines.

Continuing the theme of uploading British Airways Boeing 747-400's that are currently not on the photo stream, another example can be crossed off the list with this airframe currently arriving in from San Diego.

Following on from the Summer 2016 schedule, British Airways began sending Mid-J configured Boeing 747-400's into San Diego, replacing the 3-class configured Boeing 777-200ER's. The initial plan during the Winter 2016/2017 schedule was to see 4-class Boeing 777-200ER's operate between London Heathrow and San Diego, however the route has continued to see Boeing 747-400's throughout this period. From 29th October 2016, BA272/273 saw Super Hi-J configured Boeing 747-400's replace the Mid-J Boeing 747-400's that graced this route. The route allocation is due to change again from 26th March 2017 when Boeing 777-300ER's take-over.

British Airways currently retains a fleet of 37 Boeing 747's, all of which are Boeing 747-400's. The original plan was for 36 Boeing 747-400's in service by the end of 2016, however one example has had a stay of execution for the moment, likely providing more slack in the fleet in case of any maintenance glitches arises.

Charlie India Victor Romeo is one of 37 Boeing 747-400's in service with British Airways, delivered new to the flag-carrier in March 1998 and she is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce RB211-524H engines. She was delivered new to British Airways carrying Japanese-inspired Waves & Cranes World Tail colours until January 2003 when she gained BA's standard Chatham Dockyard Union Jack livery. Since February 2016, she became the 6th Boeing 747-400 to have gained Super Hi-J configuration from its previous Hi-J configuration.

There was some concern from the Council about the military nature of this vehicle but High Command pushed it through arguing that many of its weapons systems are non lethal at the same time as being configurable for more intense engagement should the need arise.

Tasked with upholding the peace and the ideals of the Federation perhaps the High Command knows something currently hidden from the rest of us.

A beautiful pink sky at sunset over the RNLI Lifeboat Station at Selsey. I've wanted to do a sunset shot here for a while, and recently found out that this iconic building is soon to be demolished to make way for a modern lifeboat house, so decided to get it whilst it was still there!

Selsey Lifeboat Station is an RNLI station located in the town of Selsey in the English county of West Sussex in the United Kingdom.

The station operates a Tyne-class lifeboat RNLB Voluntary Worker (ON 1146) which is launched via slipway from the main boathouse which stands away from the shore on a piled platform. The station also operates a D-class (IB1) inshore lifeboat, RNLB Betty and Thomas Moore (D-691) which is kept in its own purpose built boathouse close to the approach gangway of the main station.

The establishment of a lifeboat service in Selsey was in 1861 with RNLB The Friend; she was launched from the beach by means of skids. For the station's first 25 years the lifeboat's Coxswain was James Lawrence. On his retirement from the service in 1886 he was awarded a RNLI silver medal in acknowledgment of his long and valuable lifesaving service, highlighting rescues such as those of the brigs Governor Maclean (1875) and Sharah Ann (1871), the schooners Exel (1872) and Henrietta (1875), the barques Sueine Meinde (1878), and Tranmere (1883), and the schooner Kyanite (1881). In 1925 work began on the construction of a new boathouse built on a piled platform with a gangway leading to it from the shore. The gangway incorporated a trolley track. In 1927 the boathouse was once more re-built to enable it to house the station's new motor lifeboat.

During the Second World War the station had a busy time. The Watson-class lifeboat RNLB Canadian Pacific (ON 803) made many trips to rescue pilots from fallen aeroplanes and was launched on service 50 times. In one rescue on the 11 July 1940, the lifeboat saved the life of Squadron Leader John Peel, the commanding officer of 145 Squadron based at Tangmere. He was forced to ditch his Hurricane (P3400) into the sea off Selsey Bill after sustaining damage in a fight with German Bombers. Peel was in the water with just a Mae West life saving jacket, but he was pulled from the water by Canadian Pacific only minutes after ditching. Canadian Pacific remained on station until 1969 and records show that she went on 286 services and rescued 157 lives.

In 1952 and into 1953 the boathouse's substructure was improved and strengthened and the slipway was lengthened. In 1958 the boathouse was re-built as the old structure had become unsafe and unserviceable due to years of coastal erosion. The new station was built with reinforced concrete and the deep water roller slipway was re-configured to have a gradient of 1:5. The station was also given a new fabricated steel approach gangway from the shore.

In 1968 the service at Selsey was enhanced with the establishment of an inshore lifeboat rescue division. This new service started in March of that year with the new lifeboat kept in a boathouse located by the approach gangway to the all weather boathouse. The inshore lifeboat was launched on a newly constructed gangway laid on the shingle beach to the eastern side of the main slipway. The first inshore lifeboat was a D-class lifeboat. Further improvements were made to the inshore service with the construction of a new boathouse in 1987, the new structure including a new crew room, storeroom and a souvenir shop.

In 2011 the station celebrated its 150 years as a continuously active lifeboat station. The occasion was marked by the RNLI by awarding the station as a whole an award on Vellum which recognised the station's 150 years of dedicated service in the pursuit of saving lives at sea.

Here is my and sionra collaboration work, I need to configure my scanner for better quality to show you this^^
