After walking a long distance along Reykjavik Iceland's shoreline, I was able to compose this image of Reykjavik Harbour and Harpa, one of the signature buildings in downtown Reykjavik.
Harpa, which opened in 2011, is a concert hall and a conference centre. Its architecture features a coloured facade comprising glass panels, allegedly inspired by the basalt landscape of Iceland. It is a remarkable building, and a centrepiece for the city.

The side facade of the Concert-Hall in Brugge...
Is it a window reflecting the sky?
Graphic minimalism!
Have a super day, I know I will, and thanks for your comments, M, (*_*)

it is always fascinating ... you never expect how big the space of a building is inside ...
you can imagine the position of the big concert room, in the building, because I took the same angle as from outside ...
outside like inside photographed from northwest in direction southeast ...
- my position for the inside photo is at the upper half right corner seen from outside ...
entering from the opposite side, inside the building it is easy to lose orientation ;-) ...
but as an architect, you have a better chance ...

Moon, Jupiter and Venus appeared in the west after sunset last Saturday. I planed to shoot this scene with the Concert Hall and reflection. Jupiter and Venus seemed to be little to be seen.
上週六,據說會有雙星拱月的天文現象,特地跑去國家音樂廳,和這古典的建築搭一下,或許會不錯,可惜金星和木星,相對變得很小。

You don't have to go inside the concert hall at Harpa to see a show. The outside is paneled with lights that change color and reflect in a pool in front of the building. Reykjavik, Iceland, April 2021

This is the place Frank Zappa played his first gig in Germany in 1968 and where I attented my first Iron Maiden concert in the 80ies. I‘m getting nostalgic...
We had great sunset this week since the season comes to fall. I visited the Freedom Plaza with great view of National Theater and Concert Hall.

Vigadó (usually translated as "Place for Merriment") is Budapest's second largest concert hall, located on the Eastern bank of the Danube in Budapest, Hungary.
Although the acoustics are lacking, the building itself, designed by Frigyes Feszl in 1859, makes a bold impression along the Pest embankment. Built to replace another concert hall on the same site (which was destroyed by fire in the 1848 War of Independence) Feszl's Vigadó was also badly damaged, this time during World War II. The post-war reconstruction, which took some thirty-six years to complete, remains faithful to his original design and continues to attract leading conductors and performers from around the world. The facade of the Vigadó was cleaned and restored in 2006.
The Budai Vigadó is the home stage of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble (The House of Traditions), the group having started in 1951 with Hungarian traditional dance and music. The group consists of 30 dancers, a Gypsy band of 14, and a 5-member folk band.

The Kulturpalast Dresden (lit. 'Palace of Culture') is a modernist building built by Wolfgang Hänsch during the era of the German Democratic Republic. It was the largest multi-purpose hall in Dresden when it opened in 1969, and was used for concerts, dances, conferences and other events. The building underwent several years of reconstruction beginning in 2012 and opened with a new concert hall in April 2017
You saw it in blue. You saw it red. To round things out, here is how the concert hall at looked in transition. It puts on a wonderful light display. Reykjavik, Iceland, April 2021

The Elbphilharmonie is a concert hall in the HafenCity quarter of Hamburg, Germany, on the Grasbrook peninsula of the Elbe River. It is one of the largest and acoustically most advanced concert halls in the world. It is popularly nicknamed Elphi.
Groups of people heading across the plaza and into the Usher Hall last night, going to a festive concert. A few quick snaps using the tiny (30cm) Gorilla mini-tripod (hence the low perspective!), just to see how it worked.
The Walt Disney Concert Hall at 111 South Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles, California, is the fourth hall of the Los Angeles Music Center and was designed by Frank Gehry. It opened on October 24, 2003. Bounded by Hope Street, Grand Avenue, and 1st and 2nd Streets, it seats 2,265 people and serves, among other purposes, as the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. The hall is a compromise between an arena seating configuration, like the Berliner Philharmonie by Hans Scharoun, and a classical shoebox design like the Vienna Musikverein or the Boston Symphony Hall

The foyers outside the concert hall at Koerner hall besides the bars have windows overlooking the Philosophers Walk, they add another layer to the musical experience inside the hall
Frankfurt is one of the few European cities with a large cluster of high rise building in its downtown area; in many other European cities, skyscraper construction was not well received in the past due to the historical value of existing buildings. For this reason, Frankfurt is sometimes referred to as "Mainhattan" (a portmanteau of the local Main river and Manhattan), and Chicago am Main.
Reykjavik's Harpa Opera House, which opened in 2011, is always a beautiful motif - especially at the blue hour. Harpa is on the one hand a musical instrument (harp), on the other hand it is also the first month of summer in the old Icelandic calendar. The beginning of this month is still a special day in Iceland today, as summer is so important in the north.
