Although Reykavik was only a very short stopover, and the weather was miserable, there was one visit I couldn't miss: Harpa, the city's new concert center.
there are some old and abondoned buidlings of the former russian army. This is an old military school with a huge auditorium. I found this view from the backside of former stage shows the condition of the building in an impressive way.

The river Turia flowed through Valencia. After a heavy flooding in the whole interior, they changed the flow of the river. In the beginning they wanted to build a motorway, bun then decided to change the formner riverbed in a park. In a special area, a lot of wonderful and modern buildings were constructed, one of them is the Palau de les Arts, an Operahouse and Concert Hall. Nearby there is a statue of Neptun.
The Frauenkircherl is a former church that is now used for art exhibitions.
Built in 1390 in late Gothic style, it was damaged by fire in 1648. During reconstruction the steeple was added in 1666. The secularization in 1803 was the end for use as a church. Parts of the church building were integrated into neighboring buildings, in the 1970s the church was used as a fire station. Since 1986 the building is used for art exhibitions and concerts.

When the official tour to the Westfjords had ended, the group flew over to Reykjavík. Most of us were staying for at least one more day. It did rain on that day and we decided to do a guided tour of Harpa, the concert hall.
Highly recommended. :o)
It definitely is an amazing building.

This is a partial view of the amazing glass facade of HARPA, Reykjavik's great concert hall, designed by Olafur Eliasson. The patterns of all of its facades are changing and ever so mind-bogging. This here looked like an urban bee hive to me :)
Happy Windows Wednesday!

Elbe Philharmonic Hall / Elbphilharmonie
"still" in Hamburg, Germany
In 2007, the construction of this concert hall was scheduled to be finished by 2010 with an estimated cost of €241 million ...
Up to now, construction work is scheduled to end in October 2016 at a cost of €789 million, with an announced opening date of 12 January 2017.
But possibly Charlotta B is delivering this building to Dubai,
where they probably can still afford these high costs :-))
