This is a composite image of three pictures taken by the Mod X and StormCaster rockets carrying an Aiptek PenCam digital camera. The three pictures were taken on June 24, 2006, July 22, 2006 and May 19, 2007. The road going from the lower left corner to the right of the image is Texas Highway 16 at a point 10 miles southwest of Fredericksburg, Texas. The road intersecting Highway 16 on the right of the image is Alfred Petsch Road. The building at the lower left of the picture is Henke's gas station. The picture is looking toward the south.
I preferred this weapon. It was a composite body and clip. Despite the fact that the empty shells always flew back to and struck me in the face or eye-shield, I preferred handling this weapon as opposed to the Ruger. My face was literally covered in gun-powder after using this weapon!
This will be mounted as 6 separate prints, each mounted on 3/16" foam core, just inside the entrance of a local restaurant. It will be about 5'6" wide and 3' high. The owner selected most of the images to use based on local character. The four side images may be swapped left to right or top to bottom, depending on how it looks. The center will remain as shown.
Along the Willamette, as seen from inside Shriner's Hospital. Olympus E-PM1 & Panasonic 14/2.5, f/5.6, 1/250. Temperature correction. 8 frames merged in Photoshop CS3. Oregon is such a drab place in March, I ended up turning up the saturation a bit, something I rarely do. There is a glass reflection on the left edge, something I should be more careful with next time, but we weren't at the hospital to take photos.
There are 10 people in the swap. Each person makes a zentangle string and then cuts it in either 9 or 10 pieces (depending on whether they want to do a piece of their own). They then mail all the pieces out to their partners (one piece to each partner). The partners complete the pieces and send them back to the owner (the person who drew the string). When all the pieces are received they will be put back together in one large COMPOSITE zentangle!
Week 5 of my Photoshop course at Fraser High School, Hamilton. Learned how to create a multi-image composite using 6 individual photos and layer masking the lot to get this.
Shot around 8am on a Sunday morning just off the intersection of Broadway and High Street in Marton.

This is a bellows unit for my T2i and photos composited to explain the system and how well it works.
A bellows turns a normal, and in this case average quality kit lens into a pretty impressive macro lens.
The upper right is a lens hood (for size comparison) My subject, and the Bellow in it's collapsed state. If I was thinking I should have expanded it.
The center right is as close as I could get with my 18-55mm kit lens and stay in focus.
The lower right photo is with the same kit lens attached with the bellows completely compressed.
The background image is using the same 18-55mm kit lens with the bellows at maximum extension.
The background photo was reduced to 25% for uploading, but it is NOT CROPPED. This is the full frame!

This collage uses The Day the Earth Stood Still from astrovine (Under Attribution-NonCommercial License) and In the Kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed are King from wiseacredesign (Under Attribution-NonCommercial License).
We had a great flight over - just a tenner to upgrade to BA Club Class & go in their LHR T3 lounge etc. Then a free upgrade to an AMG Mercedes A Class with Sixt. Then a wonderful place to stay with great friends. Here's a composite I did of our friends' new house near Cassis. A really lovely place. Some of the component pictures are shown in full in this album.

Developed specifically for the rigours of aircraft, we have a patented composite to metal interface which allows the reliable transfer of torque according to the system specification.
We use a wide variety of end terminations and provide a large proportion of these products for use in primary and secondary aircraft actuation systems. These interfaces, through continual improvement, have crossed over into the rail and motorsport industries.
Tried a composite just for the hell of it. No pre-conceptions when I started, just high quality. I know it's not perfect, but wasn't aiming for perfection. Only things I knew I was going to incorporate were earthly themes and lots of lens flares :P

I love trying compositing, but it takes sooooooooo long - makes me love autostitch even more. But the compare and contrast elements are always good - and it makes me learn more about how to take pics better to autostitch with them. For example, I was making a real effort to hold the camera at the same level, assuming it would make for shots that would be more easily stitched - without realising the alley is on a slope....
Any suggestions for how to improve very welcome

Didn't work as Triptych, so decided to try composite. One Rainbow Bee-eater flying in to land on the branch. Not Nature.
My attempt to photograph a small spur of stellar light protruding from the milky way. Even 10 miles outside of Bakersfield the sky is badly light polluted.
Captured on my Canon 20d f/1.8 50mm prime lens with a composite of a dozen or so images.
I tired to keep the individual images short to keep the stars from streaking, 4 seconds or so was about as long as I could go. Which caused me to have to use iso 1600 or 3200... even at F/1.8. Causing lots of noise. Uses multiple imagines did help cut the noise down however.
There is a reason specialized equipment is used for this sort of thing. But at least I tried.
