In all honesty I can't remember the purpose of the ring section that comes away at this point, but it was obvious at the time. If the shutter mechanics need removing for cleaning then here you are. The escapement is retained by the two screws (red arrow and ring). Note the flash contacts are in the red ring. On a similar camera, there was a claw under this end which also had to engage with the escapement. the self-timer should lift out then, but note the location of the spring end (blue arrow) - here it looks like it is attached to the camera and not the self-timer (as it is on a similar camera). This exhibition features work by twelve CCA Architecture students in a fall 2017 advanced architecture studio led by Matt Hutchinson and Adam Marcus. The work explores the architectural detail as a locus for reconsidering contemporary domesticity in the context of new technologies of design, fabrication, and assembly.
