To lubricate the components of the engine as well as collecting all the debris and contaminants of the engine, the oil filter is used in your car. Thus, the oil filter can preserve the lifespan of the car by keeping the contaminants and prevent them from entering the engine. If the oil filter of your car is clogged or leaked, then the contaminates quickly build up inside the engine and cause functionality issues in your car. Here the infographics provide all the basic symptoms of a clogged or leaking oil filter in the car.

Gloucester Road Underground Station, (District, Circle and Piccadilly Lines), 19 August 2023.

The station was opened in October 1868 by the Metropolitan Railway (MR) as Brompton (Gloucester Road) as a temporary terminus on its extension from Paddington (Praed Street) to the Metropolitan District Railway (MDR) at South Kensington, which ultimately was to form a component of the two railways’ shared ‘Inner Circle’ service.

The station was intended to be a joint station with the MDR and in December 1868 that company’s services reached there (over MR track) when the MR completed its extension to South Kensington, where another MR/MDR joint station was constructed. However, the MDR (by now branded the District Railway – DR – though still legally the Metropolitan District) fell out with its associated company the MR and in August 1870 built its own set of lines parallel to the MR’s from South Kensington to what had recently been renamed Gloucester Road (Brompton).

In July 1871 the DR further extended its track northwards to High Street Kensington via ‘the Cromwell Curve’ – which it did without Parliamentary authority!

The designer of the MR/DR station was Sir John Fowler, the Chief Engineer of both the MR and DR and it had an impressive overall roof – removed in the 1990’s to make way for a raft supporting a new shopping centre above. Further, in the 1970’s the track layout was simplified, the island platform widened and the outer eastwards Circle Line platform taken out of use – except for displays of works of art!

By the late 19th Century, the DR had extended both westwards and eastwards to a considerable extent and the Mansion House – Gloucester Road section was suffering severe congestion at peak times. The DR thus planned to increase capacity by building deep tube tunnels from Mansion House to a point west of Gloucester Road. In addition, the Brompton & Piccadilly Circus Railway (B&PCR) planned a tube line that paralleled part of the DR’s tube route.

The DR then decided to take over the B&PCR in 1898 but in 1901/02 Charles Tyson Yerkes gained control and then bought the DR, B&PCR and the Great Northern & Strand Railway (GN&SR) to form his Underground Electric Railways of London group. As a result, Yerkes merged the B&PCR and GN&SR to form the Great Northern, Piccadilly & Brompton Railway (GNP&BR - later the Piccadilly Line) and decided to employ the DR’s tunnels under construction between South Kensington to Gloucester Road (extended to Barons Court) for the GNP&BR; the construction of the DR’s tube tunnels from South Kensington to Mansion House and the DR’s express service were abandoned at the same time.

In December 1906 the GNP&BR began its service to its own station simply named Gloucester Road. The station building was designed by Leslie Green, the UERL’s Chief Architect, employing his typical ex-blood glazed terracotta- tiled facade. In 1907, the DR/MR station was also named Gloucester Road to avoid confusion. When the shopping centre was built on top of the Circle Line/District Line platforms in the 1990’s, the Piccadilly Line station building was closed (it is now in retail use) and the Circle Line/District Line station building remodelled to accommodate Piccadilly Line passengers.

The station complex is a Grade II listed building.

In 1957 the Polish Countess Teresa Lubienska, who had survived Aushwitz concentration camp, was stabbed five times on the eastbound Piccadilly platform and died shortly afterwards. The murder remains unsolved.

Pictured is the frontage of the 1906 Leslie Green station for the GNP&BR. Note Green’s seriffed gold letters on red tiles.

The supply chain mechanism of the electronic components suppliers in India is commendable. The supply chain focuses on timely delivery of the products. The end users need not worry about anything, as there is no flaw in the chain system of the suppliers.
