Motherboard is a huge collection of small components and these components perform different tasks. These components are connected with one another and perform different functions on the motherboard.
As the motherboard consists of many components it becomes difficult to distinguish between the components. That is why the motherboard is divided into different sections and these sections are attached with one another to communicate.

What is Volt-in section of the motherboard?
As the name of this section gives hints about its function, a volt-in section is used to get voltage supply from the adapter. Its main function is to get the voltage supply from the adapter and provide it to different sections of the motherboard after regulating it.

You can easily locate the volt-in section on the motherboard. Volt-in section starts where you connect your adapter for the sake of charging your laptop or powering it. Its first component is the charging connector which may be round or rectangular in shape but it is strong enough to make a guess of it.
On some motherboards this connector is directly connected to the motherboard and on some boards it is connected through the connector jack cables.
