Most of the grounding and components that aren't on the circuit boards are added before the circuit boards go in.
You can see the glue from the mounting hardware. It's an epoxy adhesive made for plastics (most won't stick well to Nylon), but also sticks very well to the enclosures.
I use big globs of glue since its under the circuit board.

From the melted craters in the aluminum housing, I can tell several of these components failed earlier, prior to being rebuilt. This unit barely made it out of the shop, before it blew up, during it's first life. It's been rebuilt, but I'm abit gun shy of using it again.
A Beyer-Garratt is a type of steam locomotive that is articulated in three parts. Its boiler is mounted on the centre frame, and two steam engines are mounted on separate frames, one on each end of the boiler. Fun August 2014 trip to the Pacific Pinball Museum in Alameda, CA and had a ball (literally). An amazing collection of 100 monthly free-play (no coins needed) pinball machines from the golden age up to present. They have over 500 in the collection that are rotated into the play area each month. In/out hand stamp allows for all day fun up till closing.
Components of wind generators at a laydown yard near Armstrong, Texas. The array of windmills streches for about 17 miles along the Texas Gulf Coast south of Baffin Bay.
That hex-head bolt at the end of the axle is hollow so a quick-release skewer can pass through. It sticks out 7mm from the serrated lock nut on the end of the axle. That's thicker than the dropouts on my frame. Will I have to file it down? I shouldn't have to, methinks. :(
UPDATE: It fits just fine. Worried for naught, I was!
