I'm using my Canon XH-A1 HDV camera (+ RedRock acromat macro attachment) to view markings on small electrical components, while filing them away into a set of drawers. (I got the idea from "Bones" - no eye strain!)

This is the proposed inlet manifold Weber DCNF conversion for the Panhard Twin, which incorporates a heat riser possibility.
The outermost "doll" is a large capacitor. I cut a masking-tape mask to create the traditional chevron design (which points to the -ve leg). Some real components for scale.
