The Optoelectronic Component and Materials Laboratories (or OCM Labs) is a collection of graduate students, post doctoral fellows, visiting scientists and research staff who are engaged in investigating an enormous variety of phenomena and devices related to electronic materials and optics. Some of the work involves the basic physics of new semiconductor and organic materials, some focuses on devices using these materials, and yet other work looks at the system impact of optical devices and structures. The unifying goal of our work is the realization of practical optoelectronic devices.

scavenged voltage regulators and similar looking components, with markings so I can research what I have...
Vacuum tubes, resistors, diodes, a Tube Screamer guitar pedal, transistors, terminal strips and more!
This is a strip of PCB I cut with a Radio Shack nibbling tool as a test section to exactly hold 5 of my dual-alphanumeric LED displays. The nibbling tool loses a small section of board because it nibbles a ~1/4" swath through it, but the lack of sawdust, noise (I work late in a quiet apartment building), and the incredible precision of the cuts makes it ideal for me. I cut 4 of these board strips from a single Radio Shack board, and they worked perfectly. They hold 20 dual alphanums total, but I need to hold 45, though I'll probably go with fabricated PCBs for the finished product.

“Drive Pipe”
“...is driven from the surface of the ground to bed rock in order to prevent caving in of the hole. The drive pipe is also called conductor and serves the purpose of preventing surface soil, gravel and water from falling down into the well.”
“Casing:”
“… is a pipe placed inside the well to keep underground water and cave ins from filling the hole. It extends down below the lowest fresh water source, and sometimes to the oil producing formation.”
“Seed Bag:”
“… is attached to the lower end of the casing beneath the deepest source of fresh water, between the casing and the well hole. Filled with flax seed, it swells as it becomes wet, forming a tight joint, keeping fresh water from flooding the oil sand. The seed bag has been replaced with metal and rubber ‘packers”.
“Tubing:”
“… is a pipe lowered inside the casing to the producing sand, through which the oil is pumped to the surface. The pump is located at the lower end of the tubing.”
“Anchor Pipe:”
“… at the bottom of the tubing, below the pump extends to the lowest area from which oil is to be produced. Perforations allow the oil to enter the pipe without clogging the pump with sand.”
We use component protection to maintain the quality of inter stage and finished parts - avoiding costly damage to surfaces during the machining cycle.

Realising that his use to the Joker is rapidly coming to an end, Wraith is left with no choice but to comply. He kneels down beside the fallen Lamprey-android and begins to cut the robotic head open. The Joker looks on with keen interest.
Joker: 'There it is! There! Glowing green! That's the component I want!'
Wraith breathes in, dreading what will follow, but succeeds in removing the component and surrenders it to the Clown Prince of Crime who clutches the device and grins.
Joker: 'Now we make the world burn!'
Before he can finish his next move, the Joker hears a crushing thud behind him, then he finds himself lost in a world of blackness.
Here are my pile of what could be Earrings, Pendants, Charms... any of your fancy.

Silk screened pieces.
From ring seals, single-wire seals, and housing seals to individual inner grommets, these parts allow for watertight seals with good heat resistance and long term non-detrimental mechanical properties. Such components may be over-molded to provide superior seal characteristics and eliminate assembly time or even made with self-lubricating LSRs to allow for easy assemblies. www.simtec-silicone.com

The XMC-3311 is a key component in Spectrum's series of software defined digital radio modules from the flexComm™ wireless communications product line. The XMC-3311 has dual input 12-bit A/D converters and a single output 14-bit D/A converter, each running at up to 213.33 MSPS in a single-width VITA 42.0 XMC form factor. The ADCs and DAC are integrated with a single user programmable Xilinx Virtex-4 LX100, LX160, or SX55 FPGA device for wide bandwidth signal processing and filtering in the digital domain.
The module can also be used as an Enhanced PMC (ePMC) module. The ePMC standard is fully compatible with IEEE P1386.1 PMC standard but offers the additional benefit of dedicated rapid Solano~links between ePMC compliant carrier and mezzanine modules. Data can also be transferred over PCI, which provides the control path.
