This antique-patterned tin can is certainly a great found! :)
I didnt think much was necessary to bring out the goodness for this lil box.
I lined the inside with black felt and then wrapped and tied the ribbon.
This was originally intended to be a picture of the completed model, except I'd missed out one aerial. I've uploaded this photo because it shows the plane's colours much better than the other photos do.
Soldiers from the Bowling Green-based 189th Engineer Company, 276th Engineer Battalion began assisting with the reconstruction of the Proctor Street Bridge July 27th in Big Stone Gap as part of the unit’s two weeks of annual training. Working with a local contractor, Virginia Guard engineers helped construct a temporary bridge that will be used while the existing bridge is demolished and a new bridge is constructed. A detachment of the 189th is assigned to the Big Stone Gap armory, and in addition to being able to help their local community, the Virginia Guard Soldiers are gaining valuable real-world experience in bridge construction. St Mary Fairford was rebuilt c.1490 at the expense of John Tame, being completed by his son Edmund Tame. The church is famous for its complete set of original stained glass windows from the early 16th century, perhaps by the Royal glassmaker Barnard Flower. The church is late Perpendicular in style built around an early C14 central tower. The upper part of the tower and its sculptural ornamentation were added later in the C16. On the south side is a grotesque head, holding a scourge and above, the Warwick gryphon and other Warwick emblems. On the west side a figure of Christ reflecting the Cult of the Five Wounds. The arms of John Tame, a wyvern combating a lion, suggest that Tame is are connecting himself with previous powerful Lords of the Manor. Several of the sculptures were remade by Peter Juggins c.1970. The fan-vault in the porch was renewed in 1892 by Waller, though the door is original. The octagonal font is C15 and bears the Yorkist Sun in Splendour. Traces of the original wall paintings include angels above the chancel arch. The choir and parclose screens are of c.1520 and are rare survivors bearing the emblem of Katherine of Aragon. An interesting set of misericords which are earlier than the church and may come from Cirencester Abbey. Lady Chapel reredos Geoffrey Webb 1913 while the High Altar was designed by Sir Ninian Comper in 1920. Pulpit 1895, organ case 1897 and choir stalls 1907 by Waller.
October 4, 2019 - The kitchen renovation is finally complete. Window treatments and wood trim installed today and it was worth waiting for.
I'm really happy with it. I finished it at the end of Jan. Just now getting time to work some of my photos. First test shot below.
