Complete Heritage flight including a Mustang, Super Hornet, Meteor, Hudson and F-111 at Williamtown in 2010
The second support for the new West Naperville, IL signal bridge if lifted across main one. They did drop it once on main two, but lucky for BNSF it didn't do any damage.
Haha I've seen them put both legs of the new signal bridge here up, as well as the cantilever leg at East Naperville.
This new signal bridge will replace the CB&Q signal bridge that has been standing here at least since the 30's, and also the only CB&Q signal bridge on the racetrack with widening supports. The old signal bridge is just out of view above me here.
Here's a shot of the Dog House with the main log walls completed. The Dog Cabin is beginning to take on its character. Startin' to look rather cute, even!
You can see the all-thread at work. When you consider the narrow runs near the door and window, you can see why I chose all-thread as a means of keeping everything aligned and secured. This little structure is exceptionally sturdy!
Next steps: The roof planks, in classic Lincoln Logs style, and of course teh log gable ends. The roof planking and the log gable ends go hand-in-hand: the geometry and laps will have to be carefully figured out in CADD before beginning.
Completed LEM 10266 with modifications: foldable landing gear (as per the real LEM), guard rails on the upper platform of the egress ladder, use of gold duct tape to emulate the foil on the descent module, beefier life support packs to better emulate what was carried by the astronauts on their lunar excursion.
Complete redesign of my r120 switch, this is the right sided one. Here's with all the components taken apart to show set up
I got everything sealed up and now it's fully functional. I'd like to do a better job of securing the board inside, as well as the battery needs a little less wiggle room so it's not moving around so much, but I got the job done! Another thing I noticed after the fact was that I had mounted the switch in the opposite direction from what logic would dictate. Live and learn!
