Well, almost completed. Completed enough to wear to work!

Here's the completed bardic stole. It's based on the pattern for a deacon's stole from www.vestmentpatterns.com, but it's of a type with the kinds of simple grade or rank signifiers used in lodge-style organizations for at least a century. This one is not particularly elegant. But it is the first garment I've ever sewn myself, beginning to end, without help. I'm pretty proud of that.

Finished this months ago. Then I started using it. Then it got dirty. I washed it. And started using it again. It got dirty again. I kept using it. And then I finally washed it and now it was clean enough for pictures. Learned some stuff. Need to serge pockets so they don't develop holes from fraying. Um, need more pockets. It's always worth the time! Oh, and too much embroidery makes it look overly busy.

Also, there is a cell phone pocket (for a total of 3 pockets) under the flap that I didn't take a picture of.

After 16 weeks, the new kitchen is very nearly finished! October 21st 2018

Swans are known to live 20 to 30 years. Swans form pair bonds when they are two to four years old and remain bonded for life. The first nesting usually occurs when they are 4 or 5 years old

Stage one of my 2008 Night Rod Special build–Cosmetics. Badlands air box cover, Killer Customs rear fender and brake light kit, radiator cover, Vance & Hines competition exhaust, drag handlebars, Screamin Eagle stage one upgrade, 260 Metzler tire, custom black paint job, halo headlight and mount, side mount license plate and custom grips, pedals, and mirrors.

Redoing the front end next! Maybe I'll put some miles on it before I start that job..
