Here's an updated photo of the office. I'm back in here working and it's wonderful! We only have a couple of items which aren't finished; The fireplace is tiled and the bookcases and mantle are being built, we're waiting on the new replacement window to arrive and we still have some baseboard and trim that needs installed. Other than that we're done!

This was my second (or third) truck trial vehicle.
It was built for Trial 0937, a truck trial competition by Comunidade 0937: www.comunidade0937.com
Unlike previous versions, this one had Power Functions for steering and propulsion. It used a form of limited-slip differentials and only the rear wheels needed suspension. Only the second revision has shock absorbers to increase stability.

"The Grand Traverse Light Station was important to Lake Michigan commerce and the development of the nearby community of Northport, which erected its first docks soon after the light was completed. Congress appropriated $4,000 in September 1850 for the construction of a lighthouse near Cat's Head Point. The original lighthouse, completed in 1851, was threatened by erosion and the present lighthouse, designed by engineer W. F. Smith of the Eleventh Lighthouse District, was completed in 1858. The twelve-room house was eventually altered to house two families, those of the keeper and his assistant. The light was originally a Fourth Order Fresnel lens. It continued in active service until the U.S. Coast Guard replaced it with a steel skeletal tower in 1972. The lighthouse was vacant until the Grand Traverse Lighthouse Foundation restored the facility during the late 1980s; it is now occupied by a resident caretaker. The light is located in the Leelanau State Park." (Source: Michigan Historical Center, State Historic Preservation Office website.)
The lighthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. To view my photograph of the Fog Signal Building go to: www.flickr.com/photos/23711298@N07/6187039704/
It's scary to see really big holes in your walls!!!!
We have these really deep pantries that face our dining room, anything you put in the back is, well, basically lost. So, I had this great idea to split them down the middle and make the side that faces the dining room into more cabinet space.
Completed in 1662 by Abel Schrøder Jr., who had a workshop in Næstved, where he was organist of the St. Mortens Kirke.

Students had to follow specific directions in order to create the right mixture which turned colors depending on how much liquid they put in the test tubes. Easy project, but they were absolutely in awe!

Light atop is connected to the power lines, so if you pull the switch the light comes on! Rare to find one still so connected.
