This is little man in my second Topdown Bonnet (this one actually fits--I didn't bother measuring his head for the first one--oops!). It's from the Hello Yarns pattern (http://www.helloyarn.com/topdownbonnet.htm). I used Bernat Softee Baby yarn (in blue denim marl), size 3 doublepoint needles and size 3 16" circular needles. I did the child size hat with the infant size ears. Great pattern. Lots of fun to make!

VERDICT: Easy pattern to memorize....don't know if I'll be joining any more sock swaps (unless they match up people with similar sized feet; at least within 1 shoe size, cause this was just ridiculous!) because I only wear a size 5, LOL!
This was actually done first, but Laptop Mount Version 1.0 did not work up to standards. Remember this is going in a jeep and must be able to handle the occasional offroad venture
Kiddo wanted to be Ahsoka Tano, a character from Star Wars: Clone Wars.
Add some white tights and boots and this should work fine. (There is more to the headpiece, too.)
Oh, and it's pretty much all recycled. The headpiece was made from an old pillowcase, the body from a t-shirt plus some scrap fabric from the stash; the sash and wrist cuffs from an old pair of Kiddo's pants plus some felt.
'Color Search' sketch:
I found inspiration in the 'Pixel Path' Processing work done by Craig Mackenzie, and wanted to try my hand at it:

In this sketch, it isolates every 5th pixel, and if it fist a certain HSB criteria, it finds every matching pixel in the image, and draws a line to it.

The book I’ve been writing, ‘Bangor Then and Now: A Pictorial Record’, is almost complete, the majority of the text and images having now been submitted to the publisher. All I need to do now is write my introduction, which will include a selection of interesting, amusing, even bizarre excerpts from messages on the postcards in my collection. In my experience, Edwardian postcards have the best messages; at this time postcards were used as a cheap and reliable form of communication, in an age before widespread use of the telephone. The sender of one card talked mostly of his toothache and its eventual remedy, while the author of another communicated her despair in her quest to find an eligible bachelor!
Bangor Then and Now will be published by November 2012. Watch this space for an invite to the launch event…

My husband felt I didn't get a good photo of the shed he completed for our neighbors. So I rode back by to get a better image. I didn't want to go into the yard so I stood in the street and took a couple of shots. I know this is not the best shot but I think it gives you a good idea.
