Well I gave up on trying to fake concete with styrofoam and just used the real thing, although the aggregate is a little big for the scale...and he's a bit too close to the background back anyway, it's good to finally have it done.

The signing over of Camp Ramadi is a step toward coalition forces pulling out and handing complete responsibility and control back over to the Iraqis.

54cm Surly Pacer complete with a few changes. Just got a thorough cleaning. fresh Gatorskins (skinwall matches the Brooks Swift nicely) and new tan bar tape with some shellac to change the look and protect it. Very happy with the bike.
Complete Metamorphosis in Enthomology means simply that creature undergoes the metamorphosis through the pupating stage. Some of insects don't become pupae.

When Haley's Hamster died years ago we put it in a brown paper bag and left it in the well house. It is very fragile.
Completed mock up of a Nordic Layered Wall System using common North American building materials: USA New Wall & Swedish Platform Framing. These layered wall systems are the mosts affordable way to achieve high insulation values and air-tight construction. The layering of walls in this manner defeats thermal bridging through the frame, and adds insulation value. The service cavity located inboard of the vapor control & air barrier sheet prevents electrical items from putting holes through the air-tight envelope of the structure. Swedish Platform Framing also offers energy efficiency advantages by move joist bearing inboard to the service cavity, and extending wall insulation to the top of the joists.
