Comparison between european (Spanish?) oranges and Mexican

Comparison between chopped helm and before chopped.

A comparison between the drawing I made and the model itself. It's definitely getting an X2 version when I get back to the states, it looks pretty ugly I think.

A comparison shot showing the Sony VG-B50AM (left), Meike (middle) and Sony VG-B30AM battery grips. I bought the Meike because I did not want to hack original expensive Sony grips for this project. The Meike is really good quality.

The dingbat shaped female body

A poster comparing the sizes of all the famous sci-fi ships from Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica and more.

This is a comparison shot of my three Iplehouse SID dolls. They have different bust sizes. From left to right: EID Aurora on a SID body with small bust (nYID hands, normal skin), EID Bibiane on a SID body with large bust (nYID hands, real skin), SID Marien with glamour bust (new SID hands, normal skin).

Started to paint my no. 03. I used Rust-Oleum Hammered Black.

I like how fresh it looks just painted, without sacrificing the original look and approximate original color.

I was missing one nut, and I couldn't get the exact same size, so I just got all new nuts. They are a bit thicker but I think it might actually make it look a bit tougher.

Crappy picture, but I just thought it might be interesting to show a comparison of SD (60cm), MSD (43cm) and Blythe size, because I was curious myself before I got the BJDs.

A foto está horrível, mas achei que seria interessante mostrar uma comparação com os tamanhos SD (60cm), MSD (43cm) e Blythe - eu mesma tinha curiosidade, antes de ter as BJDs.

Wanted a reference to feet sizes. :) These are all Fashion BJD feet..

I only have the Chimera mannequin feet. I don't have the resin doll.

Comparison of the skull of a spotted hyena (Crocuta crocuta) with a gray wolf (Canis lupus), a coyote (Canis latrans), and a domestic dog of mixed breed (Canis familiaris).

Clockwise from upper right: hyena, dog, coyote, wolf.

Spend some time observing the differences between each skull.

An informal comparison of the fields of view provided by the Canon 10-22mm EF-S lens on the 20D body. This was not a planned test and the 10mm perspective wasn't shot as it seemed a bit wide for the shot at the time (I think my shadow was in the view, if I recall). The images were taken at 12mm, 15mm and 22mm, left to right, respectively.

All images are full-frame. (Best viewed large.)

Edit: Some data as requested:

All shot at ISO 100, hand-held (I said it was "informal" ;-> )

12mm: 1/50 @ f 11.0

15mm: 1/160 @ f 7.1 (I shot this first, then changed aperture and shot the other two.)

22mm: 1/60 @ f 11.0

Nikki is not pressed against the wall completely because there's a tail in the way, hehe.

Unlike in the preceding comparison, when the much more expensive L-series lens is stopped down to match the maximum lens opening of the EF-S lens, the L-series seems to have a bit more sharpness (best viewed at the original size via the "all sizes" button).

Note that the telescopes on Mauna Kea in the upper (at nearly 14,000 feet above camera level and about 25 miles miles away) are not quite sharp. Amazingly, they are slightly sharper (and the construction scene rendered slightly soft) in another image where I set the center (in-camera center-point restricted) AF reference of the 20D upon the peak instead of the tower-crane mast using the L-lens at f5.6.

These images also serve as a testament to the usually (unusually by continental standards) clear air of the mid-Pacific (when clouds aren't blocking the view of Mauna Kea and/or Loa, as is often the case).

A nice study in how the Wright Pulsar body has changed with 2007 version 2657 CX07CUU and 2014 example 3172 CX14BYK seen at adjoining stops in Bangor's Garth Road terminus on 19th June 2014

So, one day I woke up and I thought it'd be fun to do a comparison shot from a couple of my cameras that had film in them (M6, XA) and my X100. So I snapped them and went to work. I then took forever to develop all my film. That was last Nov. when I took the pics, but I just developed the XA pics recently, so here is the result finally. It's not scientific at all, just fun. Film scans are from my Epson V700.

Comparison Kodak Gold 200. I shot one roll of Kodak Gold 200 and one roll of Ultramax 400, too. That was rather for comparison. I didn't do a lot to those. The yellow of the flower was possibly a little too much for the film ...

Sky as seen when the eclipse was in progress, then sky when the eclipse is in totality. Too bad the iPhone can’t capture the eclipse properly.

This picture was taken using a manual setting in which I could slow the shutter speed to 1/15 second. This is different from the auto mode because the spinning umbrella is now blurred.

Extender Comparison 2x

Just a quick comparison of the final Pipos sculpt with my (really bad) photo manipulation which inspired it!

As you can see, Pipos actually followed the photo manip VERY closely! The face shape, proportions, etc. are almost identical! The biggest difference is merely in the faceup and eye color; since the photo manip was made from a picture of Baha kitty, it has cat eyes in the photo. The ears are also a little different, but I can definitely see Pipos making different ears for the sculpt in the future. Also, it would be easy to remove the resin ears and replace them with some sort of furry ears to acheive the look from the photo manip.

Kudos once again to Pipos for really listening to their customers, and not being afraid to work with a nobody like me, living halfway around the world! ;-D
