Simply a comparison between full frame range finder and a crop sensor DSLR .. No editing in any kind! just film scanned and RAW photos from the memory card.
Totally didn't realize that I didn't upload my box opening + comparisons onto Flickr.

waiting christmas no post processing x-ept crop. actually I was testing ISO performance on both cameras. I was on aperture priority with ISO 800
From left to right: Momoko, vintage Francie, vintage Skipper, Blythe
Anything vintage Skipper (1963 to around 1990) will fit Blythe. By the mid 90s, Mattel changed Skipper to Teen Skipper and she became more Barbie size, which confuses a lot of people. Stick to the years above, and you're likely to be OK.
The top photo is straight from the camera. The bottom image shows what a little digital enhancement can do. Click on image for a LARGER view. Click here to see other "Photo Fix it Studio" examples.
The top image is the original, with a little color saturation and vibrance added. The bottom image has the very same amount of color saturation and vibrance adjustment, but with additional post-processing techniques added for greater clarity and dynamic range. This is the image I saw or envisioned when I took the photograph. I use a combination of exposure blending, HDR tonemapping, and Photoshop layer adjustments to achieve my desired results. Every image is different and requires a different approach. However, I always try to keep the image looking as natural as possible so that "technique" is not the first thing the viewer sees.

Made this comparison between the FotoImpex Umbrella Swivel (left), also found in the gear/shop roll at LightingMods, which is nearly identical in construction as the well-known LumoPro LP632, and the Manfrotto MA026 Lite Tite (right). Let's see the summary:
FotoImpex Umbrella Swivel:
+ compact, lightweight
+ but sturdy indeed
+ fits best to Manfrotto Nanos, same locking screw
+ flash near to the umbrella axis
+ no need for flash adaptor
- spigot of minor quality
- new version with some changes in comparison to the LumoPro
Manfrotto MA026 Lite Tite
+ Manfrotto quality
+ holds a lot of weight
+ fixing screws do their work, but it's a little bit of patchwork family, isn't it?
- heavy
- little bit protruding in size/maybe oversized for the nanos, but can be modded as shown on LightingMods
- need of flash adaptor, one spigot more than necessary
- flash a little bit off the optical axis
- more expensive
+ did I mention the Manfrotto quality?

In this comparison you can see that the polarizing filter creates extra contrast between the clouds and the blue sky. There seems to be less contrast in the leaves on the tree at the right side of the image.
This detail is taken from about halfway out from the centre. 20/2.8 is on the left and the 14-24/2.8 on the right. Cropped from full res highest quality JPEG straight from a Nikon D800.

Tim, and someone else on CSF I think had asked if the Abaddon was my largest fighter ever. I wondered, thinking it looked a lot smaller than some of the others I'd produced.
So I threw it into a file with some others, and as you can see it is actually the smallest of the four. With the old version of LDView, I was not able to get a screencap, however the latest version did just fine. What a fantastic little program!
And thanks to Tim for the isometric suggestion. Reading through the help file, I couldn't figure out what that meant, until I switched the views around... pretty sad for a guy who went to an engineering college :(
Top to bottom: SF-1 Raven, Vic Viper T-301 (from Gradius V), ZR-38 Abaddon, and SF-92C Hurricane.
27cm Obitsu only a little taller. It's the bust that makes the difference.
Thought I'd snap some comparison photos whilst I worked on Russ. Hope they help someone!
On the left the feet of Lara Apple on the right Flor Pablita. The Fruit children are on the tan side, but here you can see that Pablita has a delightful chocolate color.
I know I've seen comparison shots of the first brides somewhere on flickr, but I was still very curious about my own, new bride now. Is her body even completely the same as the first brides?
She's got DG-legs, but she's still as tall as the Nu Face dolls, because her torso is longer. And, well, her boobs - but I am sure that's obvious in the pictures... ;)
She also seems lighter than the other dolls. So maybe she doesn't have that nut inside?

Standing in the same spot, I took two pictures with two cameras' default settings, then pasted half of one beside the other. This is like Comparison 2, but the Olympus was zoomed to match the Nikon's field of view.
The graininess of the Olympus is much reduced compared to #2, because rather than cropping a wide image, I had to downsize the zoomed image, which of course reduced the grain.
Also note the difference in colors.

Jaime Ara, Lati Yellow, PukiFee on Impldoll body
Color-wise, the PukiFee head and the Impldoll body are an ok match, but the neckhole of the head is far too small to fit on the Impldoll body properly.
At ISO 100, files taken from Imaging Resources. Left images have no unsharp mask applied, right has unsharp mask (140%, 1.2 pixels) applied. See the difference of that AA filter for yourself.
Here's a collage of images comparing the new Spy Squad Cat Burglar villain and the new version of Skipper.
First, her entire body with the exception of her arms is completely painted. The only thing you can take off from her is her headset, glasses, vest, necklace and boots. Her hair is longer than the average Skipper doll. The only thing that's a bit weird is that she has pointed feet like she's wearing heels but she's still the same height as the flat footed Skipper doll. Also, she only has an elbow joint. Her wrist is solid and her hand is way smaller than the jointed Skipper doll. Her eyes are bigger too and she has feline eyes but they're the same color as the regular Skipper doll.
I honestly think that this doll is maybe Mattel's prototype to releasing those new DC Girl dolls because this doll feels more like an action figure than a doll. What do you guys think?

Took a comparison pic bewteen the latest Ingenue cream white and DollShe resin color, adding also a pretty yellowd DIM 2011 sample.
Honestly Ingenue cream white is the most yellowed even if is the most recent.

Hand detail is really nice, and the hand size is similar to Unoa boy hands.
