A common woolly monkey, brown woolly monkey, or Humboldt's woolly monkey (Lagothrix lagothricha) walks on the forest floor
Image taken at Attenborough Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire. Sat in the Delta Hide waiting for a Kingfisher to land on the stick in vain, but there were plenty of Dragonflies flying around so spent my time trying to photograph them and managed to catch this Hawker in flight.

The Common Merganser
( merges Merganser) is a species of duck native to North America, but also found in certain areas of Europe. Both sexes carry elegant features, although they have very different colouring. The common Merganser is the largest of the duck species and a symbol of Canada's natural beauty.
The Common Yellowthroat was one of the first bird species to be catalogued from the New World, when a specimen from Maryland was described by Linnaeus in 1766.

This image shows how the plumage of an adult female Common Eider can serve as very effective camouflage in its coastal environment. The location was the harbour of Árskógssandur in the region of Norðurland eystra, Iceland.
I know where they hang out now. :-) Find a nice quiet day, no nearby frisbee golfers or fishermen, wear camo and squat/sit quietly hiding behind my camo-dressed lens, and I might just get a moment with them at this local regional park in Chino, CA. Gallinule in non-breeding color, I might add.
A flock of Common Murres (Uria aalge) roosting on a cliff face on Bonaventure Island off Perce on the east coast of Quebec, Canada. A single Razorbill can be observed on the lower left of the image.
This island is the nesting site for a hundred thousand Northern gannets and thousands of other species of seabirds off the Atlantic coast of Canada.

Adult Common Tern Wing Streching at Bishop burn Loch Ryan.This fresh water outfall attracts various Gulls and Terns

'A WINTER SONG.'
A male Starling, one of a small flock, took time out to bubble and wheeze his winter song from the top of a hedge. None of the others seemed impressed!

I have no idea what the round object is she is holding. She pulled it up from the lake bottom.

I finally photographed one of these beauties. These ducks are usually far off shore when they show up.
Parent tern feeding its young at the Nickelson Beach in Long Island, New York.
Common Tern is the most widespread tern in North America, spending its winters as far south as Argentina and Chile. They are social birds foraging in groups and nesting on the ground in colonies.
The common tern drinks on the wing, dipping its bill in the water with its wings held up. They can drink saltwater or freshwater - like many seabirds, they have nasal glands that excrete excess salt.
