Sorry, I apologise in advance for my slow response.😭STILL having P.C. problems😭 AND recently London has been too hot, (well over 30 degrees😭) and I could not turn my P.C. ON!😭 I believe it's going to get HOT again very soon AGAIN😮 So replies may be delayed😭😭

I cannot always ‘Thank’ everyone individually, for their Visits and ‘Faves’ however, I will always try to respond and thank all those that leave a ‘Comment’. If I do not reply to your 'Comment', it is not because I am ignoring you, it's because I have not seen the 'Comment'.
Your 'Comments' do not always appear in 'Notifications' or Flickr mail, so, I am sorry for any delay in responding. Often your 'Comment' is only spotted 'On the Page' on the day, that I see it. (seen ONLY when replying to someone HAS 'Commented' on the image, and I see a notification)
I managed to capture the elusive Curly-tailed Yellowthroat ! Caught him after bathing in the ditch, flew up to get dried off.
Took this pic of our native woodpecker in between chasing the Winter visitors @ PRP.

Anahuac NWR
This was a real treat for me. We took the drive at Anahuac down to Frozen Point and it seemed like every 10 posts, there was a perched nighthawk. It was a great opportunity to observe them more closely from the car. This was the first time I've seen them perched and not flying above.
A Common Kestrel (Falco tinnunculus tinnunculus) flies above me as I return home after spending a day at the 2023 RAF Cosford Air Show.
I'd spent all day photographing aircraft and to be honest, in the challenging conditions, I was more pleased with how this image came out!

'JUST ONE MORE.'
The striking plumage of male Eider Ducks, together with their evocative calls, make them hard for me to resist. I'd started to pack my camera gear away, (after making far too many images), when this male suddenly turned to face me. I immediately fell for that soft, pinkish wash on his breast and the catchlight in his eye. So camera out again ... just one more!

I had been invited to a restricted area in South Florida and saw more Nighthawks than I had ever seen in my life. It was a really neat experience.
A Common Darter dragonfly seen at Lower Bittell Reservoir near Barnt Green North Worcestershire UK - 31-07-25
A mixed flock of redpolls and siskins came by this morning to tear the birch seeds apart. Didn't last long or provide many photo ops, and was completely frenetic while it was happening.
Nothing really special about this one but it is the first time I caught a good shot of this species semi out in the open. So was a happy moment for me.

Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) male.
These dragonflies are braver than most and not so easily spooked. This one was seen perched on a plant in my pond, and although it's named the Common Darter, I see very few in my garden. I do see them in abundance when I go out and about though.
Shot with my D70, a camera that can be picked up for less than £200 these days. As you can see, it's still a more than capable camera.
