I don't see many of these around so it was nice to bump in to one today - it was as I was photographing this frog, that I heard the 3 Otters calling out to each other.

Newts in the wildlife pond in our garden in SW Suffolk 7 April. They are moving along a shallow channel which connects a deep pool with a shallow gravel lined pond which is full of plants where they lay their eggs.

Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) fishing in the Vondelpark, Amsterdam. I usually associate terns with remote coastal areas rather than city centres but this one was right in the middle of town.
First for me. About a dozen munching on Alder seeds at Cottage Lake Park. Low light, rain on and off. Other birds seen there : Pine Siskins, R-C Kinglets, Common Goldeneye, Buffleheads, Mallards, Coots, Crows, Robins, Song Sparrows, R-W Blackbirds.
Gale Common Motopark is a Motocross Training Facility based in the Selby/Goole area, offering organised practice days on a top class 1800 metre Main Track featuring Ski Jumps , Table Tops ,Step Up's and Step Down's ,Banked Turns , Flat Turns and Undulating Straight's. The track surface is sandy based and is a very good all weather venue.
There is also a smaller circuit for juniors and beginners.

The Common Moorhen (Gallinula chloropus) (also known as the "swamp chicken") is a bird species in the Rallidae family. It is distributed across many parts of the Old World.
The Common Moorhen lives around well-vegetated marshes, ponds, canals and other wetlands. The species is not found in the polar regions or many tropical rainforests. Elsewhere it is likely the most common rail species, except for the Eurasian Coot in some regions.
The name mor-hen has been recorded in English since the 13th century. The word moor here is an old sense meaning marsh; the species is not usually found in moorland. An older name, Common Waterhen, is more descriptive of the bird's habitat.
A "Watercock" is not a male "Waterhen" but the rail species Gallicrex cinerea, not closely related to the Common Moorhen. "Water Rail" usually refers to Rallus aquaticus, again not closely related.
The scientific name Gallinula chloropus comes from the Latin Gallinula (a small hen or chicken) and the Greek chloropus (khloros χλωρός green or yellow, pous πούς foot).
