I walked to the end of the Pleasure Pier with my jacket tightly zipped. I think this pigeon was eyeing my nice warm coat! :)
Autorretrato Frialdad / Selfportrait Coldness
Sigue Adelante!

That cold and indifferent look, you made the world above and the problems around your head but do not know, just look to the horizon, classical sounds in the distance, and you enter a world of peace and tranquility, what do?. As breathing is deep and say "I CAN". Addressing the real world and its consequences, not being pessimistic or make a mountain out of a molehill, there will always be people worse than you.
Keep Going!

Taken while wondering around the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lake Tekapo, New Zealand.
This poor bride must have been freezing!! I was wearing 3 layers, gloves and a beanie and even i was cold! She only hung around for about 15 minutes with her photographer having her portraits done.

Cold my mind and warm is my body. My soul is torn and tears come to me when I see you. And like a whisper I move between sobs, between pleas.
Fría mi mente y cálido es mi cuerpo. Se desgarra mi alma y lágrimas surgen al veros. Y como un susurro me muevo entre sollozos, entre ruegos.
I knit this shawl for a charity auction. It is a cobweb weight wool/silk/cashmere blend, so thin and light that it's hardly there. There are beads worked in all over it, but the camera didn't capture them. I really don't know how to photograph ethereal objects in bright sun with snow.
Anarchéa is a bit suspicious of strangers so she comes off as cold to others at first. She just doesn't open up easily. It takes her a while to warm up. (haha)
She got her new Mako Eyes so I had so slap her in front of the camera obviously. ^^
Anarchéa is a Minifee Karsh.
Eyes are Mako Owl-012.

i'm a big fat wiener when it comes to cold weather. like a cat in water ~ don't like it!
i get to look like this all week... yippeeee.
but i'm off tomorrow, and other than running some errands - i plan on staying in.
Due to insulation we had blown in the attic last year, we had to install CFL's in the ceiling spotlights to reduce the temperature. I'm not much a fan of CFL's, as they are still not a very good bulb (slow warm up, far less than advertised life, expensive, and questionable carbon footprint reduction as a result of much higher manufacturing effort and said short lifespans). They are useful in some situations where they'll deliver good results, but they are not a universal solution, IMHO- still waiting for LED lights to come down in price for that.
These spotlights take about 2 minutes to come to full brightness- I noticed that when I first turn them on, the end of the spiral internal bulb is not yet glowing, so thought it would make an interesting picture.

On the property of Sagamore Hill, the beloved home of Theodore Roosevelt, and the first "summer whitehouse" in the first decade of the 20th century. The site and house is now a landmark run by the National Park Service. It's beautiful land, and the house is fascinating and well-preserved, including his deathbed. The museum contains a number of historical items, including TR's Rough Rider's uniform.
