This still needs some touch ups, partly because I painted this while still recovering from two fractured elbows, but also thanks to the awful lighting in the garage at night.

Colder temperatures and strong winds late this afternoon. I'm ready for Spring.
This photo taken with welders glass and Canon's 24-70mm f/2.8L @ 30 second exposure.
Snow blowing across the highway made the surface slick and traffic was stopped because a car was sideways across the lane and couldn't move.
Cold Spring, NY, waterfront landing on the Hudson River, after Memorial Day. Storm King Mountain appears in center background. The cannon is a replica of the Parrott Gun, manufactured in Cold Spring for the Union Army during the Civil War.
Spc. Lauren O'Neal, a medical laboratory technician assigned to the 153rd Blood Support Detachment at Bagram Air Field's Craig Joint Theater Hospital, prepares to screen blood for platelets count as part of the hospital's new Cold Storage Platelets program. Polar bear encountered during a research trip to western Fram Strait. Fram Strait is the strait between the Arctic Ocean and the Greenland Sea at about 80 N. These bears are all standing on sea ice several hundred kilometers from the coast of Greenland. I took these photos from the deck of a research ship.
Adam's Peak (Sri Lanka)
Supposedly the land inwhich Adam arrived to after being kicked out of Eden, Adam's Peak is a Pilgrimage point for many around this globe....... But also, for buddhist this is the arrival point of Buddha when he brought buddhism to Sri Lanka...
A night walk to reach the peak of a mountain, site of a small temple... A kind of religious procession occurs at sunrise and praying (in the cold under persistent rain.... in my case). The walk is about 3 hours.. 11.000 steps (with return) illuminated by night lights to help also the elders... but is quite steep.
Once you get to the top, you await for sunrise amongst many pilgrims and fellow travelers. Altogether listening and joining in the religious ceremony (buddist). This walk is very popular and there is big participation, where 80% of the particpants local people (during the week end)
Cold and abandoned.
