Opening the Quad stage on Sunday afternoon. Photo by Laura Fedele

So, when I close at work, I have to take the 8:30 train home. This is because I miss the 7:30 by about a minute. Literally, a fucking minute. Yesterday I watched it pull away...and almost cried.

Taking the 8:30 train means getting home at 10. That means doing laundry at 11.

WOO!

Hello laundry room. Hello wool socks.

Hello tired Jess.

You're giving me the coldest stare.

Bald Eagle - Haliaeetus leucocephalus

This picture was taken in a parking lot on 4th Street in Marietta. It had snowed outside and the only thing disturbing the snow, is the imprints of someone's shoes. The shoeprints left a memory in the snow.

I have no experience with the sun at all! Just thought this was pretty, so I took a picture...

Really cold day. Everyone was awesome for putting up with the weather!

Thanks to Hill for the makeup!

January 16, 2010 - Day 275 (week 40)

Cold day

Even when its cold, its still beautiful when you have a camera.

Taken during the Port Aransas Christmas Bird Count on 2016-12-19. By south Texas standards, this was an extremely cold count. Temperatures were in the 30s and north winds blew at least 20 mph all day.

Llaveros realizados en porcelana fría

It was one of those days where the cold seeps into your bones - the kind where you don't want to linger too long in one spot unless you are thoroughly dressed for the elements.

Yet, in spite of the cold, it was peaceful being here, listening to the small sections of rapids as the water of the Maumee River flowed past.

Some of my earliest memories came from this spot - fishing with family, wading with my cousins, walking under the old Interurban Bridge, climbing around on Rouch De Boeuf (the large rock on the other side of the bridge) ... so whenever there are family get-togethers, I love to come here in all seasons.

The new Flickr double zoom option is really cool. Has anyone else discovered it? If you click twice, it goes in really close and you can move the photo around to see more. For instance, you can really see the decay on this old bridge if you double click.

This was taken the weekend after Thanksgiving.

7am - Cold and fresh weather - The end of summer

but clear and fresh. Bracing I'd say.

Nye Cold Hawaii øl - hmmm dejligt.

...fruity brainfreeze tastes so gooooood. This is the raspberry and blackcurrant variant, and while I can happily confide that it tastes like neither, it's certainly not as sweet as the mangoey ones can sometimes be.

I make up for this minor lapse by not having *bux at all throughout the rest of the year. It's remarkably easy to avoid if you don't drink coffee.

Walkies? Maybe Later....... in the summer
