Cold temperatures with light frost in the morning have reached East-Westphalia. After my return from a busy week in The Netherlands I used the late afternoon for a small walk around river Werre between Bad Oeynhausen and Löhne.Temperatures were around 10 C and the sunset was crystal clear. Looks like temperatures will drop in the next couple of days, even snowfall is possible middle of next week.
One from two years ago when I had a fantastic overnight epic trip to Snowdonia to chase some snow. I was rewarded not with the sunrise from Crib Goch I was hoping for, but with a mirror calm Llyn Idwal . Cold cold ground is by Tom waits. I can't wait till our wings are allowed to go chasing the snow again.
The little dog found along the trail guided us to this location right on time for a beautiful sunset then disappeared into the woods....
No, it's not a sparkling wine or champagne....it's actually a cold duck. Or at least if he wasn't cold, he should have been; when this shot was taken, he had just emerged onto the ice from those icy waters next to the reeds. It's an archive shot from the winter of 2017.

Cold as Ice some Fall leaves got caught in a hard freeze in this early Winter shot in North Carolina.
Evenings on the shores of Lake Titicaca can be very cold and windy. A small campfire is very useful to warm you up a little!
