This photograph was taken on East Beach during the month of December. The sunrises are especially beautiful during the cold months of the winter. During this time of the year, the stretches of beaches in Watch Hill are unpopulated and offer a different serenity compared to the beauty of summer months on the beach. The deep colors of the winter sunrises are more vibrant and are simply breathtaking!
Randi, Linda, Helena and I went to the top of Graakallen for what turned into a ladies' blue hour shoot (no guy was man enough to join us it seems ;-) ). We chose a day with a few clouds, hoping for an interesting sky, but we weren't lucky unfortunately. There was also a bitter-cold wind up on the exposed top of the mountain! Still, I enjoyed being out and watching night fall over the fjord and the city below us.
This is the entrance to the military complex at the top of the mountain - strictly forbidden, though they don't bother to put up, let alone close, a gate.

Cryogenic pipe supports, ranging in diameter from 6" to 38", were designed to support and insulate piping in an LNG receiving and regassification plant. The "cold shoe anchors" were designed for temperatures down to -260°F and a load range of 26,000 lb. to 210,000 lb. A combination of high density polyurethane foam (PUF) and Permali® was used for the insulation. The center stops that are welded to the process pipe were built from 304 stainless steel, and carbon steel was used for the remainder of the shoe.

Finally monsoon has arrived. So i thought to do some indoor activity. I had this cold drink in my fridge, so was trying to do some product photography. I did some basic level PP on it. and here it is.
Suggesstions and advise are most welcome to such kind of photography.. It will help me to improve more.
The Amish girls just came out of the privvy and I'm sure it was COLD!!! It was only about 3 degrees when I took this shot. The little boys seemed to be waiting for the girls to exit so they could play for a minute.Couldn't decide between this or the color version, so I'm posting them both.

Finally some time to chill (literally).
It’s a lovely sunny day here in the UK, so I thought this click of an ice cube, in the shape of a butterfly, serves well to remember the day and also fits nicely for the ODC topic: ‘Cool’.
These were really easy to create, with the right tray of course. Just added a little food colouring to each ‘cube’ to make various colours.
By the way, it looks like the ice cube is melting in this photo but in actual fact the surface I placed this on (a glass garden table), had dew on it hence the surrounding water. This worked out quite nicely, especially with the reflection I think.
