Looking east down the mid 13c south aisle to the lady chapel altar once the site of an important shrine which was enclosed by a parclose screen and upon the plaster walls here are the remains of medieval paintings of the nativity of Christ, gathering of the apostles at the death of the Virgin, Funeral of the Virgin, St Catherine, St Margaret and St John the Baptist.
By c1690 the chapel had become the burial place for the St Johns who built the present hall.

my latest batch of handmade soap using the cold process method- scented with lavender and tea tree essential oils and sprinkled with dried lavender buds. Kick ass soap mold i designed and my hubby made for easy cutting.
You would think a wedding in December would be safe.... the entire day it rained and it was so cold hehe
taken on my trip back home for christmas driving from edmonton, alberta to altona, manitoba. taken somewhere in saskatchewan. it was approx. -25 when this was taken not considering the windchill which would have made it close to -35 i am guessing. took 5 shots in under two minutes of this place and by that time my fingers had numbed up haha. hand held cause it was just way too cold and i did not want to be out there for very long haha.
You know it's cold when anything of the liquid persuasion instantly freezes to your bike. Shortie but goodie.
Although it looks terribly cold, if it wasn't for the wind it would have been a lovely day. We've been plagued with winds this week making it feel cooler, and that's affecting my mood. Shot along the shores of Lake Ontario, for the Compositionally Challenged, Most Versatile challenge - hard. Fortunately I did not fall on the ice - because without a doubt it would have hurt. Hope everyone has a weekend full of good weather!

Last night it had -6 degrees so all the grass started to freeze. The whole ground started to sparkle. The stars weren't that impressive but i think it still looks nice!

Definitely feeling like Autumn now. It's starting to get cold and once it rains, it becomes real depressing. Perfect weather to stay indoors and play video games or watch TV.

I just happened to schedule his haircut for the day of the polar freeze! And every morning after he leaves his warm spot in bed, even though he is wearing his sweater, I have to wrap him up in a blanket and turn on a little heater for him because he shivers so much. Here's to him adjusting soon!
