Macro Mondays: "Tape"

An old tape measure from my mother's sewing box. I was surprised to find "Made in West-Germany" on the tape. I can only guess that the tape was made in the 1950's or 1960's, since I can recall this from my childhood.

The image is about 5.75 cm (2.25 inches) on the long edge.

Last rays of sun finishing a crisp winter day from a field in the Matanuska Valley, Alaska. Sorry about the snow Berm, but only had runners on and the snow was deep on the other side.

As the Polar Vortex settled in, everyone started getting used to even the tidiest of gutters having countless icicles. Here is a picture of that and the moon.

Interesting how the nebula is exactly in a stripe in the middle of the picture. It almost gives the impression of a black and white photograph.
