The last day of this year started with a very cold morning. There are special highlights on the dark branches of this young forest. And so we see, that even the last day of a year is able to suprise us.
So when you're cold
From the inside out
And don't know what to do,
Remember love and friendship,
And warmth will come to you.

A shot of the blood giraffe tiger wolf gerbil moon (or whatever it was called) as it rose over the fields behind the house.
As the Polar Vortex settled in, everyone started getting used to even the tidiest of gutters having countless icicles. Here is a picture of that and the moon.

winter is upon us here in Santa Fe, the upper mountain open to skiing .. and that wonderful smell of burning piñon is in the air.
