Moist, cold air and snow near the summit of Mount Lemmon, Tucson, Arizona.
I really like this image.
Edit: Changed the white-point to match the white point on Flickr.
Another image from a 35mm slide. Taken on a very cold early December morning when the ocean water is relatively warm. This condition occurs when the cold air meets the warmer water causing this mist condition. In the background you can see the formation of a mini "water spout" a whirling column of air and water mist.
Having fun with water and the frigid cold of air of -27C, freezing almost instantly. Two more in the comments.
At the end of the day all is quiet along the Burlington Northern Santa Fe rails in northern Wyoming.
Between "La Grave" and "Villar d'Arène", in the french Alps. The snow looks bright and pure on the mountains in this morning after a cold night. First rays on this part of the forest above those rocks, and the white trees looks delicates. Optimistic day, positive feeling in front of this beautiful landscape.
The Kelpies, by Andy Scott, seen here in the winter sun, are the world's largest equine sculptures apparently. They are situated near Falkirk and Grangemouth, Scotland.

It was almost -4°C and the ducks were on the water. I was standing on a bridge beside a major street. Freezing. Hardly able to operate the cam with my cold fingers. And they were swimming :) Georgeous nature!
Winter weather has finally settled in over Rochester. Just the right conditions for exploring the unique parts of the city.
