We saw Cog at Bombay Rock in Townsville - the crowd went WILD! Moshing was an absolute blast! we were right up the front in the thick of it - I could barely hear the vocals! I was pissed as a nit, but still managed to take some good photos (I am still surprised I could point, frame and shoot when I had imbiled a bottle of bourbon between 8pm and 9pm, then kept drinking at the gig :giggle: pure magic!)

This is Lucius Borich, the drummer - and my favourite photo I took of the the bands.

The Cog Railway is a railway which goes up to the Mount Washing Summit in NH. The "cog" of the train can climb up a track with a 30 degree positive slope. Mt. Washington is the highest mountain peak of the Northeast. The summit comes in at 6288 feet. This is a must view attraction in NH. It's a trip to the moon, oh that's was said already. Must visit! Worth the trip! What a memory!

Cog Railway Gala NHPTV and the Mt. Washington Cog Railway celebrated their new co-production, The Mt. Washington Cog Railway: Climbing to the Clouds, at a special event May 16, 2015 on Mt. Washington. Guests rode to the summit on the Cog, enjoyed dinner at the Mt. Washington Resort, and saw the extended version conductor's cut of the documentary, followed by a conversation about the film.

This type doesn't show up for the Winner freewheels. Is it just Accushift?

This was taken half way up the mountain. They couldn't take us the whole way as it was near the end of the season.

At the main Twin Mountain New Hampshire intersection there's one of the old cog railway steam trains with carriage and locomotive. We were returning from an outing and I noticed the great lighting in the area as it approached the so called golden hour. I took these shots with my iPhone 7 plus which was the only camera I had at the time. For the record they were shot in RAW mode and processed though Lightroom mobile. I think the quality is pretty good.

Things are usually prettier when you just keep it simple.

Jose looks through the bag o' cogs. You can't tell from the flash, but it was really dark and he needed a flashlight.

I first started photographing graffiti in 1999, and in 2000 I setup a website to share my photos. Initially a mix of different subjects, but it soon became almost entirely of graffiti. I uploaded over 6000 photos to this site. Eventually Flickr came along a few years later and I started using that instead, and stopped updating the website. I shut it down completely a few years ago.

I occasionally get requests from people for photos of pieces by specific graffiti writers, and I thought it might be a good idea to upload them all to Flickr.

Most of these photos were taken on film, scanned, and saved at a small size, back in the day when people were still using 56k modems to connect to the internet and small filesizes were desirable. So apologies for the quality and size for some of these. Someday I'd like to get them all scanned in again at a higher resolution.

This was a rusty old boat winch, presumably used to lower boats into the water from a cliff near Portland Bill. The rust and the shapes were just fantastic, I spent ages just wandering around it looking at all the angles and colours and shapes. I really like the way the deep blue sky contrasts with the orangey brown of the rust too.
