Me, Lee and kev went fishing out from watchet in the Bristol channel on this boat called the 'Scooby doo'. It was still only Autumn, and the rain washing into the channel had turned the water to mud. We stayed out for the best part of eight hours, during which Kev caught a Thornback Ray, while me and Lee ate Werthers and caught a cold. Later that night -back at the 'Pig and Whistle'- I drowned my sorrows in Olde English Cider before staggering home being chased by a Badger.

"Grilled cod fillets, housemade dill tartare, salad with farm dressing & toasted buttery brioche buns"
If there was ever a case of a burger drowning to its death - this was it! My burger arrived looking like it had perished not by grilling but rather by drowning as the burger was totally drenched in the dill tartar sauce! I hardly could see it!
Generous chunky cubes of tender-grilled cod (rather than a patty or a batter-fried piece) were sandwiched between the pillowy buns with pieces of olives for surprising pleasant bursts of salinity. I am a person who enjoys dill but I have to say I found navigating my flotilla of a burger past the ocean of sauce plenty daunting as the dill was overwhelming. It seized every mouthfuls which I felt was a tad of a shame for the dish.
