After yesterday's 12-inch snowfall and shoveling mountains of snow, I have my mind on summer sunsets! Of course, when I took this one at Goose Island Park, I seem to recall, to paraphrase the late, great Carl Sagen, Billions and Billions of mosquitoes!

This beautiful sunset was taken a couple of years ago but I don't think it can be beat for the vibrant color.

Looking southward into the North Atlantic from Stórhöfði, the southern-most tip of Heimaey (home island) in the Vestmannaeyjar Islands. South Iceland.

For the past two evenings, small thundershowers have passed over the La Crosse area making for some potentially great photo conditions. Taken at Goose Island County Park.
