Sometimes the sun just finds a gap in thick cloud and produces a god-like shaft of light from the heavens to the ground. If you are very lucky you can spot one from the air and if you are very, very lucky you can grab a photo! This photo was taken over Hertfordshire just after some heavy rain. The central shaft is illuminating near St Pauls Walden.
