Late afternoon on the rocks at Bicheno on Tasmania's east coast. Crappy weather streaming in from the NW.
A significant part of the south-east of the Australian continent is comprised of granitic diorite and the most southeasterly of the exposed batholithic extrusions runs south through Bass Strait from the Mornington Peninsula, through Flinders Island down through the Bay of Fires to the Freycinet Peninsula. The central shaft is illuminating near St Pauls Walden.
