Melbourne has been hit by an arctic blast over the past few days. My suburb received flurries of snow, an extremely rare event given our low elevation- producing excitement all round.
It was and interesting introduction into Stage 4 restrictions. Right now, everything feels so surreal which is why I chose this image for today's upload. I can look into it and dream of freedom, summer and good times which will come to us all once again.
If you don't like the weather in Lewis, wait five minutes. The three shots in this sequence were taken from the cliffs at Mangersta within the space of five minutes last Wednesday. Gale force winds, stinging hail showers, followed by clearing skies, and the Belt of Venus at sunset.
We stuck it out, despite being almost blown off out feet. As ever, my trusty Uniloc Tripod didn't let me down. Once that beast is speared into the ground, it's not going to shift for anything less than a tornado . We eventually made our way back from the cliffs, across the moor , breathless and laughing at the sheer adrenaline rush experienced out in the elements

The unmistakable outline of a sulphur crested cockatoo sitting high on a light pole taking in the sunrise.
It seems it is getting more difficult to get out later in the evening in the summer. Scenes like this make me wonder why?
