The sunset was lovely today. I took this from my bedroom window, but I had to flip the image because I like objects to be closer on the right hand side than on the left. View On Black
Well today we had our annual Christmas party. I got up at 11am & realised I didn't have enough time to take the photo I originally planned to, unless the party ended before the sun set.
The Christmas party was fine really. I didn't enjoy it as much as past years. One man, let's call him KS, didn't acknowledge me at all. He walked in, looked right over my head, & then turned to my brother, who was standing right next to me, & had a long conversation with him. Without acknowledging me once. Apparently he has issues with women. Fuck him. & another man who is obsessed with Oxbridge was nice but patronising about me going to Warwick. Warwick is one of the top unis. Fuck off. His own children didn't go there. Well, one did. The other 2 didn't.
Then, a lady who I really like, said I needed to go traveling on my gap year. I was sad that she was the one to say this, because I've been threatening to tell the next person who said that to me that I have almost certainly traveled more of the world in my 18 years than they have in their whole life, so they should fuck off. Because I like her I just told her that I'd already traveled a lot, & then listed everywhere. Just to prove a point.
Then, a woman who I badmouthed on here BECAUSE SHE WAS RUDE TO ME who later on found out because someone was fucking googling for things that didn't concern them, was at the party. I was avoiding her, until she aggressively dragged me into a conversation.
But then my old Ecosystems teacher told my Dad what a lovely girl I was, & a credit to them both. She also said to my Mom earlier that she thought the guy I was standing with was my boyfriend. It was my brother. He was not amused. I was, after the initial horror wore off. We chatted about her son & his time in Afghanistan, & she & her husband discussed maybe coming to The Boathouse for New Year's Day. We talked about what I wanted to do in the future, & she was surprised when I said theatre & directing. She told me she was aware I'd done drama, but always thought I'd go into conservationism, or animal rights. How strange. Another man later asked me if I was going into teaching. Slapping him did not seem the appropriate reaction, but the idea of teaching is really not something you should mention with any seriousness to me.
Anyway, by the time everyone had left the sun was just setting, & didn't reach the garden anymore so I couldn't go out & take photos. I ate left over party food with my Mom & watched TV. I was watching 'The Addams Family' until my brother said we should watch 'Elf', because everyone says how great it is. We watched to the point where he reach New York, & decided that it was shit. Seriously, why does everyone like that film?
Edit: That was a disappointment. Joe is so boring. I can't believe he won the X Factor. You know they criticised Stacey for dancing? Well when the fuck did Joe ever dance? & he has a beautiful voice, but he can't do any genre of music I like. Just fucking ballads. & they're nice, & pretty . . . but boring. Olly was at least entertaining. I wanted either Stacey or Olly to win. Joe should just stick to musical theatre.

Picture taken during the flight to UK , this is just before landing in Liverpool.

I took this scenery inside the airplane cabin. it was organised amazing clouds gathering. maybe it's rarely appeared like this scenery. the date image taken was Sep 2th 2015.
I went to Portencross yesterday hoping for some stormy weather - thankfully it didn't quite materialise as much as it did at home when I was leaving. Cameras and the sort of rain that was coming down do NOT mix well.
This was taken just after I arrived, looking out to the north end of Arran where there was a little gap in the clouds.

I'm not usually one to post just cloudscapes, but had to post this one, as I feel it was too good to let go by. It unfolded before I could get to anywhere with a great foreground, so stopped and took it anyway.
This is a crop of a landscape-orientation, single shot.
It was taken in October, 2010, whilst I was in Queensland photographing my nieces wedding a few days later. This is the view from atop the Great Dividing Range as taken from Prince Henry Drive in Toowoomba.
Hoping to see some more great skies when I go up again in the second week of December.
