Treated myself to a closeup lens (Canon 250D) for the Canon G1X which has very poor close focus. Straight from the camera, shot handheld in low light.

The image was made from a capture of about 300 frames, using a Philips ToUcam Pro webcam attached behind the Galileoscope, with a Meade 3x Barlow lens inbetween.

The captured webcam movie was registered and combined into a single image using Registax. Some final adjustments (including unsharp masking) were made with Photoshop and iPhoto.
