This series was taken by droping small droplets of milk onto blue ink. I used a flash gun and a shutter speed of around 1/200. 500 pics taken and about 20 or so gave some sort of splash! Some post production work to adjust tone, contrast and colours to vary things.
This is a photo I consulted my wife on for processing. She likes a softer, more low contrast look. When she told me to make it "cooler", I showed her the split tone feature in Lightroom. This allows us to cool the shadows while keeping the highlights warm. Kind of a neat look.
Left: Broccoli salad (broccoli, red onion, raisins, bacon, mayo)
Right: Fingerling potatoes; pickled daikon; dried fish.
Tasty snack with date filling. Lunch time! My hand looks terrible because of a skin ailment I am suffering from 4 months now...
OK, I'm only HALF Italian. And fair skinned, auburn haired Italian at that, but why not have a little fun? Actually, this is because I'm jealous of my cousins' fabulous olive skin and beautiful dark hair. (Love you two!)
Gawd, I wish I could do instant makeup, tanning, and hair color changes like this in real life.
