Closeup of spillway at Glines Canyon Dam. Glines Canyon dam is located at RM 13 of the Elwha, inside the boundary of Olympic National Park.
Construction began in 1925 and the hydroelectric project became operational in 1927. Dam removal will begin in late summer 2011 and proceed in stages over the course of 2.5 - 3 years. At 210 feet in height, Glines Canyon will become the largest dam to be removed.

Cold nights are a great time for Photoshopping. I took this image on the way home. It was lit by yellow sodium streetlights. I inverted it and used levels with a mask to bring out the trees in the background. The brown flare is the one light that was bluish in color.
