First macro experiment with an iPhone 3GS (Gorillacam) + Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II (reversed), handheld under a desk lamp with a compact flourescent bulb. I just read about this technique and reached for the closest item to try it out--my everyday Waterman fountain pen.

Castniidae,Sun Moth, there are more than twenty described species in Australia, and more being studied, they are diurnal and often fly only in sunshine during the hottest time of the day.

But it's broccoli

A close view of the damage which 'Turbinia' sustained in 1907. She was moored at Wallsend when a ship launched from Stephenson's shipyard crashed into her. The picture shows where the bow of the other ship hit 'Turbinia's side. There was extensive damage to the hull, the guardrails were bent and part of the wheelhouse was destroyed. There was no great damage to her engines, though, and she was fully restored in the same year.

Much better than the other one!

Sweet from the fruit is balanced by salty prosciutto on this richly flavored pizza.

Homemade dough

3/4 cup shredded mozarella cheese

fresh mozarella balls, cut in half

3 tablespoons basil pesto

1/2 cup thinly sliced prosciutto (about 2 ounces)

1 large ripe nectarine or peach or 2 fresh apricots, pitted and thinly sliced

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Preheat oven to 425F. Roll out the dough and transfer it to the prepared peel or baking sheet. Spread pesto on the rolled-out dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Sprinkle one-third of the grated cheese on top. Top with prosciutto slices, fruit and the remaining cheese. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is lightly browned and the cheese is melted.

Serve immediately.

Enjoy!
