just felt like doing something simplish, inspired by a praying mantis on my window (in comments). as always, lightbox is best :)
ahahhahahahha, also in the comments are a few drawings which i should explain...at four in the morning a few nights ago my roommate and i were peacefully asleep when i woke up to someone climbing into bed with me. at first i just kind of brushed it off for a second, because it was four in the morning and i thought i was dreaming, except then i realized--holy shit--there's another fucking person in this bed. so then i started to freak out a bit, shaking the girl (she'd fallen asleep) and saying "I DON'T KNOW YOU" over and over until she woke up. she subsequently told me to go back to sleep and rolled over. finally i realized she was ridiculously drunk, so i shook her until she actually got out of my bed. on her way out she told me i could never go clubbing with her again.
as you can probably tell, my heart is still broken.
oh, and she stole my kindle. but i got it back.
...it was a long night. but SUCH a good story :)
Picture taken @ my neighbours' yard.
I had been so hooked up to the 100mm E Series manual focus lens, I am considering to sell my 50mm f/1.4 AF-S - may be I won't :)
I was killing time at a local camera store today and ended up buying an used Micro Nikkor 55mm f/2.8 AIS lens - Yay, I get to take macros with an AIS lens.

for many years my garden was a shrubbery flic.kr/p/Lhv9ag which i loved. a picket fence covered in an ivy hedge coming down in a storm flic.kr/p/2gnCyih meant that over time changes had to happen flic.kr/p/2mn2x8a i'll be glad when the trellis is covered in honeysuckle and jasmine. that's the plan ...

My friend and co-worker Justin has a new 10 week old Bulldog puppy and brings him to work from time to time. Don't be fooled by Turbo's serious face, he's one funny and entertaining dog! He's obsessed with chewing on my shoes and pulling my shoelaces!
