i've created a group www.flickr.com/groups/cooking_is_my_hobby/ to gather ideas and encourage myself to continue with healthy eating by learning from others if you're interested in cooking, sometimes or a lot, or enjoy the cooking of others, you're always welcome ...
Last night I had the chance to experiment some more with the Focus Stacking feature of my Olympus OM-D E-M1X camera using the M.Zuiko 300mm f4 Pro lens. Here is a shot of a hollyhock flower in my backyard here in Bozeman, Montana.
By using focus stacking I was able to get everything I wanted & needed in-focus in this closeup shot, and the detail in it is just amazing!!
I had the camera set up for 15 shots with a focus differential of 2. My camera was mounted onto my Benro tripod with settings of ISO 200 at 1/80s at f/11 and I manually focused on a part of the flower closest to me. Once everything was set up I tripped the shutter and the camera took over from there, adjusting the focus slightly between all 15 shots.
I processed the RAW photos in Lightroom (yes LR - I almost never use that program lol but it made sending the files to Photoshop for stacking much easier). From LR I sent the photos to PS where I did the focus stacking, then used the Luminar Flex plugin to further enhance the image. ON1 Resize was used to upsize the image to 30”x40” and I can already tell this image will look awesome at that size (and even larger)!
Damselfies are very tiny and this is one of the most detailed image that I have shot of these tiny creatures
