This wasn't a photo I could see with my naked eye. I could see it, though, in advance, in my mind's eye, a skill given to me by prior experience.

To actually see the image, I screwed a Nikon 5T close-up lens onto the front of my telephoto lens. Then I moved back and forth a bit until I managed to fit the milkweed pod into the upper reaches of an out-of-focus Half Dome.

I bought a Promaster 52mm Close Up +4, +2, +1 filter for my Nikon DX 18-55 mm. I love to take close up, but I can not afford a new lens, so this is the next best thing.

I was working on some images for my sister this afternoon and my wife asked me to come outside and to bring my camera. This was a awesome dragon fly. It let me pick it up and it walked all over my hand. It didn't mind me taking it's photo at all. I sat it on the top of my railling and set up the tripod and shot away. I used the on camera flash and POW here is the result. I took make 7 shots and then left it alone to fly away.

Close up of Quorra from Tron Legacy.

Photographed by Ian Bell This is a closer view at the green steel frame around the windows, and how Mr. Potter used like a black piece of rubber that I am assuming to hold and secure the windows in place.

Fiddlehead.

I love a well designed beer brand and these Montauk Brewing Co. cans were no exception. They tasted good too. I of course needed a picture. I wanted a nautical vibe given my location, however it was pouring outside. I zoomed in close to avoid the rain and instead focus on the beer can & stripped shirt.

Looks like rocks, right? But the beauty of the waves and the shore are spoiled by the massive volume of rubbish abundant all over the island's beaches

Close-up of some of the snow that fell last night in a storm that wasn't forecasted. It was a warm storm so the snow was very heavy and I got a lot of good exercise.

For some reason I actually really like this shot!

This is a close-up of the small butterfly from my Harvest Smile card.

The butterfly was made from Glossy Paper and stamped with Ranger Archival Ink in black. Next I colored it using Distress Inks: Spiced Marmalade, Mustard Seed, and Shabby Shutters. Then, I spread a layer of Crystal Stickles glitter glue over top and let it dry. It gives such a cool iridescent effect!

Thanks for looking! :-)
