Close-up of a glacier, the colors in the photo are true to what it was in real life.

Another close up of a glacier in Antarctica.

Just a close up :)

The season may be over for these big blue-eyed dragonflies - but it sure was a good one! @ the wetlands, North Georgia

The Samyang 6.3/300 mirror reflex lens (450mm on my camera sensor) is actually a long tele lens, but in my kind of photography it works very well for close-ups too. Fixed at F6.3, the lens allows me to focus on minute details.

Part of the National Conservation Lands, this headland area is dramatic: waves crashing against basalt sea stacks, harbor seals sunbathing, lots of sea faring birds.

The color contrasts & pure blue skies behind this 1873 lighthouse are what drew me to taking this shot; I was also experimenting with focus, depth-of-field & overall sharpness.

Floral on a hot bright tropical sunlight ..

No wonder orchids have become so popular. Once considered difficult to keep, I now have two that seem to be happy in their current position.

I love the intricate composition and have taken many macro shots of the interior, but as this one was illuminated in the morning sunlight coming through the window, I could see an angel emerging.

2nd image in the series.

I am away for few days, see you in the middle of the month!

Taken today during my latest visit to the Hunter Wetlands Centre, Shortland NSW with long time friend and fellow flickr tog Joe Micallef.

Bird activity was relatively quiet following the abundant rain and flooding along the East Coast of NSW.

Hope you like this one.
